Having just moved to the village we were looking for somewhere to sit in and eat late in the evening. We bumped into a local who recommended the restaurant at The Saffron. We arrived near on 9pm on a Thursday night and were welcomed into the restaurant with no questions! The service was attentive and the food was delish! This meal was authentic, freshly cooked and a real delight. The fish starter was delicious and the lamb meat for the main was tender and of a high quality. There is no doubt in our mind we will be back to experience this restaurant again.

This was one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had. The food was amazing - each dish thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the table. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely, as were the polite and friendly staff. Will definitely be back again! Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to eat in Kilmacolm

Looking for authentic Indian food? Then Saffron is a must-try! Nestled in a charming little village, the drive is absolutely worth it. Their lamb chops are perfectly cooked and sooo flavorful! And the prawn curry paired with garlic and coriander naan is truly exceptional. A delightful culinary experience!

It’s really unfortunate to experience such poor treatment from the owner of this takeaway. I gave honest feedback about the food quantity, but instead of handling it professionally, the owner argued with me and said, “Don’t teach me.” That’s not how a customer should be treated. No one expects perfection, but basic courtesy and respect are the least anyone deserves.

To be honest, I now question the 4.6 rating based on my experience, it doesn’t seem genuine. In the food industry, the owner is expected to treat customers like guests, even like god, as we say in our culture. I hope the owner takes this seriously and reflects on how to improve both attitude and customer service...

We had our cricket team's mid-season meet-up at Saffron. The place was nice, cosy and welcoming. The owners and the staff were very polite and ensured that everything was well prepared, their service was spot on through the evening. The food was fantastic, we had samosa chat and garlic chicken wings for starters which was lip-smackingly delicious. The main course consisted of chicken Tikka masala, dal makhani, paneer curry and garlic nans which were equally scrumptious. I would definitely recommend the place if you wish to enjoy some delicious Indian food with wonderful hospitality. Thank you Aman and the entire Saffron staff for...

Brilliant Indian Restaurant. Worth driving from Glasgow. We went on friends recommendation . We had the best Indian food in years. This small restaurant offers great selection of dips available for starters. Ask for Smoked Tomato Dip, Apple& Mint Dip. We ordered Pakoras,Indian Salad ,Paneer Makhani , Chef's Special Monkfish, Dal with Garlic Naan. This is the only place where we can get Indian Wines like Sula & Indian Beers. We got an exceptional friendly& courteous service in this recently opened Restaurant. The Interiors are unique-loved their candles floating with Rose Petals. Great...
