We ordered a feast for two and cannot rate this place highly enough. I've traveled all over the world trying carribean food and I can honestly say this is the best food I've tried outwith Jamaica itself. Not only that, the owners are incredibly friendly. They even kept the place open an hour late to ensure we had enough time to finish our meals. Sat down and had a lovely conversation with us. It's very obvious that Derek (owner/chef) had a genuine passion for cooking. A rare thing to find these days with restaurant food. It definitely shows. Food and service were top class. Incredibly cheap pricing for what you get. Cannot stress enough, this place is a must for any food lovers. Try it and I guarantee you will not be disappointed

Hearty, warming, authentic fare. Felt so welcome that it felt we were round at a friend's for dinner. The jerk chicken and curry lamb were a perfect mix of flavours and just the right level of spice. We tried the dumpling and some plantain, both of which I can recommend. A great addition to the community and I would encourage all to support it wholeheartedly.

After visiting the food truck several times, we had our first visit to the restaurant today and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh, tasty and really delicious- we bought a few of the frozen curries for home. The staff were great- very accommodating and excellent service. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Travelled from Ayr to have a meal here last Saturday (Aug 2026), after the street food van was recommended to us, but unfortunately not operating nearby that day. Although compact in size (booking would be recommended) it was a very homely vibe. Staff immediately made us feel comfortable and helped us choose from the menu by providing some tasters. The portions were very generous, "Derek (the chef's) size", apparently 🤣, but very tasty. The menu is not overpopulated with choice, but the meals listed have been perfected and you don't sit about for ages trying to make that decision, as all sound appetising. We had starter and main courses with a couple of cans of soft drinks (alcohol is BYOB with corkage) and it worked out at £20/head, so fantastic value for money. Derek, and staff, continually chatted away and answered any questions. So, all in all, would I recommend it? YES! Will I go back? YES! Great to have different worldly flavours on...

The cook has come from Jamaica to deliver an experience to the taste buds. I have passed this restaurant many times, it always catches my eye with its vibrant and colourful Caribbean colours. Inside it intensifies and you are transported to a jamaican shack beautiful and homely the staff much the same. Jerk pork a dish I would not normally but delivered a taste into the history of the Taino. As I take my first fork of rice you can taste the seasoning through the rice. The sauce has a ting and nip to it a rollercoaster of flavours and the pork that is so tender it falls away in beautiful tasty strands that melt in your mouth served alongside a gorgeous potatoes that is so soft like a cloud in your mouth. I would highly recommend a try of this...
