Since its called St Mocha, their mocha must be great, right? It was average. Not sure if people in Balmaha have small hands but their regular size is the same as would be for a double espresso and the kicker was that it was three quarters filled.
We also bought a raspberry milkshake which was one of their "specials", as far as I can tell the only thing special must be that these, not in season, raspberries must be of the albino variety. The (tiny) milkshake just tasted of milk, which is weird because a plain milkshake wasn't even on the menu. I know I could have just taken the milkshake back, but in these COVID times when you have to queue to order and then wait around a different window for collection it's more hassle than it's worth.
The damage for two tiny/ incorrect drinks was more than £7! I just hope that businesses affected by COVID don't start overpricing and putting no effort into...
Read moreThe shop is nice and clean with nice decor. That's about all the goodwill I have for this place. Drinks are ridiculously overpriced, but I support that's just part and an parcel of the rip off the tourist ethos, they've got no where else to go.

But we ordered 2 cold drinks and waited a good 20 minutes for them whilst there were at least 5 staff members working. All of which just stood behind the counter hugging each other, chatting away and trying the different ice creams they sell, all while there was a queue of folk out the door. There were other people in the queue just laughing at...
Read moreNice café with slightly touristy prices, but backs it up with good quality.
Went for a walk with wife and parents in Cashel forest and came here for some well needed refreshments.
I had the long black coffee and bacon bap. Coffee was a bit average, but the bacon bap was lovely. Could have done with slightly more ketchup for my liking, but overall felt like decent value.
Wife had the haggis cheese and onion toastie which was outstanding. Coleslaw cut into the heaviness nicely.
The venue itself was cozy, not too many tables inside though - no-one outside since it's still cold - but I could see this place being quite cramped in the summer. Staff were reasonably on point, and it didn't take too long to serve our order despite being quite busy. Overall...
