Stumbled across this amazing Pub & Restaurant on our way back from Troon just over a month ago. Popped in for a drink and we loved it! Very friendly and obviously very popular with locals! The service at the bar was very friendly and Ally was so helpful when we enquired about the “Bottomless Carvery” - this takes place the last Sunday of every month so we promised ourselves a return visit! Booked in for 5pm and we had a lovely warm greeting from Ally & Tilly - she took us through the back to our table - lovely restaurant spotlessly clean and plenty of room between the tables which we liked! We were so well looked after the entire time by Tilly - she couldn’t have been more helpful and is an asset to the place. The chef 👨🏼‍🍳 was on hand to carve the meat on request and we most certainly weren’t disappointed! A generous helping of gammon and turkey and roast beef and lamb, lovely selection of potatoes and vegetables and gravy/sauces - absolutely first class meal and such a warm and friendly atmosphere. We also had prawn cocktail to start and Auchans Mess for dessert - can’t rate the food, the surroundings and the service we received and we will most definitely be going back again in the near future - thanks for a lovely evening in your wonderful bar and restaurant- only a 30 minute drive from Glasgow and in a beautiful village setting - so happy to have discovered you! Extra shout out to Tilly - thanks for looking after us! See you again! LESLEY & MATTHEW🍽️🍽️🍺🍹❤️👍 xx ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Place is very nice and the staff were polite and helpful. Not impressed by the food at all. My starter was salt and chilli chicken but the batter was powdery. My steak pie was burnt and solid, could not cut the pastry and had to snap it to eat it. It came with a weird tasting mash too, like vinegar was mixed through it. Was not going to complain as we waited long enough for the food. Far too expensive for basic pub grub. Very disappointed.

Booked a table for 17 people last Saturday night. Everything we were served was cooked perfectly and the service was excellent. The team really went above and beyond to make the night special. Various meals served including Fresh Scallops, beef, chicken and fish dishes from the specials menu. Can’t thank them enough. If you haven’t been, this place is fantastic. Thanks to the team, we all had a great night.👏

We're from the East Coast and I'm not sure if you guys in the West just do it differently but they must be hiding Gordon Ramsay up those stairs. Some of the best food I've had in my life without exaggerating. The Sea Bass was incredible, done to perfection and the Mrs had to climb her sundae before she could stick the spoon in it. "That was the best meal I've had in my life." She said just before leaving, she's fussy as well. Only feel bad as I'm assuming there's no option to leave a tip on the card machine and I had no physical cash. Sorry Ally,...

Went recently for the bottomless carvery and everything served was excellent! The quality of meat and abundance of side dishes was beyond my expectations. You can go up as often as you like but I only managed a second plate of some of the side options as I couldn’t resist more tater tots! The only thing I might say is that it would be nice to have mashed potato as a side also. I had the apple crumble and custard dessert too which finished the meal off perfectly. Well done everyone. Highly recommend and can’t wait for...
