Arrived and sat outside for 15 min with my wife and two grandchildren ,had to ask for a menu then wait another ten min and had to ask to order to be told we will send someone out.after another five minutes a waitress arrived and told us there would be a wait of at least half hour to order as a party of eight people had just arrived and were to be served before us !..but we were welcome to order drinks while we waited. The waitress stressed she was on her own to serve and take orders and did apologise but not a professional way to run a business considering they are more expensive than most surrounding businesses. We left in disgust and walked round to the Ardencaple hotel five min away and were served within fifteen minutes of arrival at a fraction of the cost .....all by...

We popped in for breakfast shortly after opening and were instantly greeted with a smile and we chose a seat overlooking the water. My husband ordered Poached Eggs on Toast as well as Porridge with Maple Syrup, the toast was thick and golden brown with perfectly poached eggs and my husband said the porridge was one of the best he’s had in a very long time. I went for the Cooked Breakfast, everything was cooked perfectly, great quality produce, decent portion and I have to say my favourite hash brown of any breakfast I’ve had in recent memory… so crispy! They also have a selection of cakes and muffins which looked amazing, I wish we took some away with us. They was a good vibe in the cafe with lots of laughter and conversation and the staff were all so friendly. Highly...

Stumbled across this little cafe on a recent trip to Helensburgh and thought we'd pop in for lunch. Bad move! Temperature outside was - 2, inside felt like - 1! None of the radiators were on🤔 so the jackets were kept on! As I started eating my chips (only vegan option apart from baked potato and beans) my breath was visible while talking to my lunch companion! Think it's meant to be going down the quaint route....if this means dirty and unkempt then quaint it is! They seemed a tad overwhelmed with the lunchtime diners even though there was only 10 people! We chose a seat looking out over the water but the dirt on the windows obscured our view! Gents toilets were disgusting and should carry a health warning! £7.50 for two small plates of chips and a tea! Will...

My wife and I visited for breakfast and coffee. We both ordered the full breakfast, which includes bacon, square sausage, hash browns, black pudding, potato scone, poached eggs, and beans. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal while taking in the lovely view of Gare Loch. This place also offers charming outdoor seating for pleasant weather. Overall, the food and coffee were excellent, and the service was top-notch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Additionally, it is worth noting that this is a dog-friendly place with relatively easy parking.

First time eating at the cafe & found the staff very friendly & attentive. Food was good & prices were ok too. Added bonus was the outside seating area & the spectacular views of the water & the boats. You could easily sit outside with a lovely hot drink & cake to de-stress. There is a secure play park for the children but it was so quiet & peaceful as the schools were still in! We took our 3 dogs to play down at the water & they loved it too. Will definitely be back again with the dogs!
