Food was lovely although I would have liked more gravy with my dinner optional extra to purchase more which if they gave you enough in the 1st place you would have to buy extra ( good money maker 😉) Fish was nice but as you can see in picture peas 🫛 needed the kiss of life Was kinda of dissapointed on Sunday we went in for dinner around 7.30 ish as its normally a bit quieter at this time and there where kids still in after 8 apparently only licensed to have kids in till 8 as this is what weve been told before when we've been turned away with grandkids but we left around 8.30 and the kids were still in ( hope it wasn't a case of there regulars or there known by staff ) as it shouldn't be 1 rule for 1 and 1 for others

Being from South Australia and having seen the historical ship which is located in the Adelaide Maritime museum, that this pub is named after is really strange. So we had to try it, in saying that, the food was very good value and the service was great.

The staff were friendly. A massive bar, in considerable need of attention. Whilst we were there the roof was leaking over the TV at the bar. On a Saturday night it was dead - could be so much better with a bit of care and attention.

Me and my son were just banned from this restaurant. I was having a private meal and conversation with my son when a jockey on the TV fell. I laughed a little bit, then this woman behind me started an argument and then lifted her fist to punch me. She didn't do it, because her daughter said "No, Mum. Don't." The staff came over and....get this guy's....they banned ME and my son.... .....unbelievable. Obviously, I will never be going back. Police were involved....and they tried to short-change me, too.🙄 (Elderly woman outside heard me talking with my son. She said "That doesn't surprise me. They banned me because I politely asked "excuse me, madam, but why did you serve that gentleman before me?"....word for word. ) Very abusive staff. Trust me, guys, you do NOT want to go anywhere near this place. And to the Carrick restaurant staff. I would very much appreciate it if you DON'T REPLY to this review. If you do, I will take it as harassment, contact the police and charge you...

Great food and staff I recently attended The Carrick with my extended family, some of whom were from Australia. There were 14 of us in total.

The staff had reserved a number of tables for us and we all sat together.

We placed our orders at the bar and were pleasantly surprised by the prices. Monday - Thursday have discounted prices including 2 for 1 on main courses. Shortly after placing our order a staff member informed us that the chef would have all our orders ready at the same time. We had ordered various dishes including fish and chips, hunters chicken mac and cheese and some others.

The fish and chips requires a special mention as the fish is huge and was perfectly cooked. It hung over the plate on both sides and was beautiful in flavour and texture.

Everybody in our party enjoyed our meals and the staff were very pleasant and efficient in clearing our tables after our meal.

10/10 and we will...
