Unfortunately a great meal and service was ruined by a potentially dishonest bar staff, the bill came to £39.05, as the server was genuinely lovely and spot on, we decided to leave £50 cash down on the bill, 2 x £20 and 1 x £10, asking for £5 change at the bar, leaving a tip. The bar girl gave me £5 and we went through to the bar, she then came through after a few minutes with 1 x £20 and 2 x £10 notes saying you've not paid enough and I've gave you £5 for nothing, I went back through to the restaurant to explain and a male staff chipped in and said I seen you put down two tens and a twenty, which for his sake was unfortunate as I triple checked the money at the table, and he was blatantly lying, after several attempt to assert what happened they denied it, I asked if the cameras would pick it up above the tills but they don't have any, which is strange as having run bars myself we ALWAYS had cameras on tills. I threw another £10 down on the bar and told them to enjoy the dishonesty, went back through to the bar, another manager came through with £5 and said let's split the difference, which is ironic. He backs his staff bla bla, so did I until you find the dishonest ones, Allan the owner was standing in the kitchen with a stupid look on his face the whole time, so it's either a one off, mistake or perpetuating from the top down. Let's play this scenario, even if I did lift a note from the £50 by accident (which I didn't), no scenario would have left the bar girl with 2 x £10 and 1 x £20 as that was never left! After 15 plus years of enjoying this restaurant, what a disappointment, won't be missed though. Word of warning to others, check your cash and make sure they confirm it! Allan, keep a closer eye...

I have been coming here for years and just recently its become my favourite restaurant to venture out to. Always greeted in a pleasant manner and shown to your seats - always informing you of what's available and what's not Everytime I come here, nothing is a bother. The servers are absolutely incredible and if you're not sure what drinks contains etc then they are happy to go over and above. The last time arriving here I have called ahead as my friend has a severe allergy to latex. I had spoken with Chris and he was very very thorough in making sure they met all the requirements for my friend coming. They then confirmed during dinner that they were all aware which made my friend very relaxed during our dinner. The food is just WOW , I haven't had something this yummy anywhere else Lentil soup Creamy peppered chicken ( normally only comes with one breast of chicken but I asked for 2 cause I'm a greedy pig) And the chocolate fudge cake - nom!

Absolutely love coming here, cannot recommend this...

Btw way the food and hostessing were second to none as were the meals I will say the lady at the reception is the most wonderful lady to invite customers into any place we had a wee joke about spoons just ask that she add me on snap chat dabzhaggi I was the guy who booked a table for four and I'm sure will will talk again hopelessly hoping haha one thing I will suggest is do away with mobile fkn menus man get a grip in these cases and challenge the "guidelines" that's all they are and through the powers of promotion barad clubs restraints etc try and enforce this nonsense no w it's ridiculously laughable how masks sanaftizer etc that sheep just fall in line to well I'm a manager myself and I small businessi stuff dailly I urge your staff to do the same and not force a public j of a gangster mask crews (lol) Nuggets masks with no scientific evidence to promote the media...

First time visit. Very busy with just a skeleton staff but all very capable. Greeted and seated by a pleasant hostess. Order taken by a lovely waitress. A beautiful cocktail made by the cheery guy at the bar. Wee bit of a wait but it was very busy however the starters (chicken tempura) and mains (cajun chicken and lasagne) were a testament as to why, dessert (lemon meringue) was beautifully presented but a bit of a let down in the flavour department. Overall this visit was a hit. However a couple of weeks later it was a different chef and a massive let down with the steak pie.

Came here for lunch from start to finish was a shambles umpteen attempts to get two colas right this was after my last visit was a bad experience I thought they were just having a bad or off day but Cleary not, the food portions are tiny !! Chips for a small metal tub cost £4 and for a can of coke I didn’t order I paid £2.50 a can. No money off or help to sort it. Won’t be back unfortunately. Go elsewhere there’s a lot better value for money in the town.
