Nice place to go for a drink. Usually busy enough to have a nice atmosphere but not so busy you find it hard to get served. There is also a raised section in the bar where you can sit for something to eat. If you don't fancy sitting in the bar area they have an extension on the side where you can also dine. This part is made mostly of glass allowing you a bright area for eating and to see the picturesque view of the surrounding canal and wooded area. The beer is good with a large selection of draught or bottled drinks. The food is even better, having a good selection of food on the menu and a smaller sized meal menu for those who do not wish a full meal. They have a kids menu too making The Glen Lusset a great choice for a family to visit for an enjoyable meal. Alongside the canal they have a lovely beer garden for the hotter summer days and the staff are always happy to help. Wheelchair accessible entrance and ramp inside, disabled toilets and baby changing facilities all add to the family friendly vibe. Great...
Read moreAfter travelling down all day from Loch Ness, we needed somewhere for a late lunch that also catered to dogs as we had two. This place hit the spot in all areas. The food choices were good and the prices matched but where it really shon was the food quality as well as the service. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming but in particular the young waitress who it seemed couldn't do enough. She was so friendly and polite and one of only two people serving so was super busy but it never affected her demeanour. The food does take a little linger than usual but it does explain on the menu that it's all cooked fresh to order. The only downside was the TV with football on but if you're into football that won't be a problem. All in all I highly recommend you...
Read moreVery dark and disappointed that conservatory closed. Food took a while and very disappointed. Pakora was overcooked hard and dry. Tattie scone nachos awful. Scone burnt, sauce and cheese very sparse with haggis on top Tasteless. Fish and chips fresh and nice. Only half a fish as off the specials menu. Kids fish and chips nor much smaller. Would be better off with two of them. Chicken wrap very poor. Soggy salt and pepper coating. Service was pleasant. Didn't complain at the time as my husband will not complain . Very disappointed as family lunch and been before so we're looking forward to an alfresco lunch with our daughters. Side balcony was an option but very shaded with overhanging trees. Won't return too many other nicer options...
