Disappointing visit, was expecting more after hearing about great food and service from friends. Called in for rolls and coffee before riding, the server was lacking enthusiasm and our presence seemed an inconvenience. The coffee was nice, but rolls were very poor.

Returned after a long day of riding, as we thought it may just have been a one off experience. We were greeted by a nice woman and offered towels to sit on and the specials sounded great. However,

The Chicken drumsticks seemed like left over buffet food and the blue cheese sauce had split.

The Minted lamb hotpot with crusty bread seems suspiciously like tinned veg soup with a few chunks of lamb added in.

Nice atmosphere and good service, food was alright. More eye pleasing than tasty with it being over faffed and fancied. Tomato soup was extremely covered with basil and it took over the taste of the dish, and a plain cheese burger we ordered came cremated however this was rectified by the staff. Cordial drinks are priced as cokes at £3 which is quite over the top for what it is in my opinion. Really enjoyed my chicken burger, however finding lipstick along the rim of the glass I was drinking out of didn't help it sit too well in my stomach. I never wear lipstick, and with covid still existing I'd expect better hygiene...
