Decided to have New Years Day away from home for the first time ever. My partner and I chose The Harbour Inn with no great expectations- other than the venue being located in a tremendous situation.|When I first booked, I stated that we would only accept a double room (as opposed to a twin). As there are only three rooms available this seemed a necessary point. Soon got a very helpful response back advising that this would be the case. We were also helpfully Informed that in the evening, there would be a karaoke event taking place and that, if we wished to proceed, we would be allocated a room as far away as possible. The thoughtful intent was very much appreciated. ||We had to meander our way through the busy bar to be able to check in, and then to be shown to our room by the pleasant young lady behind the bar. The room was basic. It was also very clean. But what we were overwhelmed by, was the stunning view from our window. That alone was worth the accommodation fee. ||The cosy bar, later in the evening, soon gave way to a lively affair of dining and of dance, and soon we were chatting and drinking with both local and visiting clientele. Harry, the friendly hotel owner, also took time to join us and made both my partner and I to feel that we had been visiting this bar for many years. That could well happen from now on!||Among the many plus points were the lovely full Scottish breakfast and, more importantly, the helpful, friendly and...

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Harbour Inn and what a brilliant time we had. The room we were given was large and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The view from the window was fabulous overlooking the little harbour. Our bed was huge and so comfortable I didn’t want to get up but if I hadn’t I would have missed the delicious Scottish breakfast. Such a great choice on the menu which should suit all tastes. ||We enjoyed drinks in the cosy, friendly bar before we had our evening meals in the restaurant. If you want Nouvelle Cuisine then don’t eat here but if you want good, hearty, tasty food then this is place for you. Everything we ate was very nicely prepared and very good. If the Salted Caramel Cheesecake is on the menu then try it. It was delicious! ||Thank you to everyone for making our stay so very enjoyable. I have already booked to stay later...

We visited The Harbour Inn twice during our stay nearby.||We only go to eateries that are dog friendly, which can limit choice somewhat.||The Harbour Inn is indeed dog friendly and welcome dogs in both the bar and restaurant area.||Good and drink wise it’s a definite five out of five for quality.||My wife had the haddock and chips on our first visit, salmon on our second visit. I went for the home made burger with onion rings and chips.||Everything is fresh, tasty and good sized portions. Their Belhaven ales were spot on and the staff are helpful and friendly, giving a very pleasant atmosphere to The Harbour Inn. Prices are also more than reasonable, main course, desserts, coffee and drinks for two coming in at around £56, exceptional value.||Definitely a VERY good find, but even in late May it’s a good idea to make a booking as this is deservedly a popular...

Popped in for a drink and ended up staying in my campervan in the car park along with 2 Motorhomes. Great atmosphere with very friendly locals and a few very nice pints of bellhaven Black stout. Booked for Sunday lunch the next day and it was excellent, 4 meats on offer along with a few surprises you don't normally get with a carvery in mozzarella sticks and chicken wings. Wnet for the 3 courses starting with haggis bon boms and sweet chilli sauce, very nice. Desert was a large slice of chocolate fudge cake along with 2 generous scoops of ice cream, all in all couldn't fqult it.

This is a great pub with a very cosy little bar area. Serving two ales and the staff are very friendly! It’s right on the water so cracking views!! It is very popular for food and booking is highly recommended. Dog friendly (must be well behaved and on a lead.)Phone ahead to book a van space ( space for 3 motorhomes at back)no hook up but toilet facilities throughout the night. It’s free but you are expecting to eat/drink in pub which isn’t a hard bargain! Highly recommended , just remember to shut the door! 🐕 🍻 🥘 🚐 🌊

Dog friendly pub/restaurant right by the water and judging by the number of people in there, very popular! We were eating in the restaurant and shown to our table straight away. Staff are very attentive and friendly. The food is delicious! I had the cajun salmon for my main and raspberry roulade for dessert. My friend had the haggis, neeps and tatties followed by sticky toffee pudding. We were very impressed. Highly recommend and would advise to book in advance as it's clearly highly regarded, and rightly so!
