A quick visit to the area this afternoon, popped in just before closing, however we were made to feel very welcome by the staff and owner gentleman?, despite it being very near to closing and King Charles bank holiday Sunday, so so sorry. Hubby and I each had a cup of extra hot coffee a slice of Bueno Cheesecake and vegetarian Carrot Cake. Everything was delicious. Read moreAfter a dog walk at Galloway House we decided to nip into the Hive for lunch. Even though the Hive is dog friendly, it was very busy on a Saturday lunch time so for fear of having two large dogs in a relatively small premises we left them in the car outside and wandered in.
A mix of food ordered between all of us, all of which was superb. Myself I had the soup and toastie combo. A haggis, cheddar and chilli jam toastie, a first for me and was absolutely delightful.

What a gorgeous selection of cakes and pastries. It really is difficult to choose one. Lovely cup of tea. Great oat milk mocha and skinny cappuccino.
