We didn't plan to have a meal here, but it was a Sunday brunch time, and their advertising board out the front of their establishment, promised a delicious Scottish breakfast would be served, and that is exactly what we received! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was friendly and efficient, but most importantly, the conversation we had with the lady and man on the day, was just lovely. Our stop here for a good hour or so, was a real highlight of our week long stay on the Isle of Mull, thank you, Shaz & Daz, the Aussie's

The mussels were divine. My first experience. Woe be it to any establishment that tries to surpass or even equal those delectable morsels. Here tonight for the music. Many other musicians showed up to jam. Friendly, warm atmosphere with lots of smiling patrons. It’s only my second time here, particularly considering how many years I have spent camping at the Farm, which is within walking distance. I’ll be back to Phionnphort in August and Keel Row is on my agenda.

The only pub / restaurant in Fionnphort, so no competition to judge it against. Having said that, the location is excellent, with lovely views over Fionnphort beach and hills, staff were very friendly and helpful and our meal was excellent. There is a separate bar area downstairs and the restaurant is slightly raised up (4 or 5 steps). You can also sit at the tables in the front garden. We have no hesitation in recommending The Keel Row...we shall be back!

We went twice over the course of our stay on Mull, and despite the food being excellent, the service completely ruined our experience. One member of the front of house staff, the chubby guy who was managing the floor, was rude, vindictive and awkward with us all evening. He answered back at us, made really bad rude jokes, treated us with disrespect and contempt just because we were asking for dietary specific dishes and he must have been having a bad evening. If you're in catering, you should know how to deal with specific allergens - but he had no idea of what the food he was serving us contained, so we had to send it back.. and he just seemed pissed off at us rather than sorry! We just asked for bread, and even that seemed like too much of a difficult task. If I'm in an establishment serving food, and I am paying dearly for it, I expect the establishment in question to at least know what is in it if I am allergic to certain ingredients. There was a power cut tonight - honestly not a problem at all, as we were happy to wait - but the dude was just so defensive about everything we couldn't get a straight answer out of him without him reacting like we'd insulted him. Which is odd, as all the customers were very pleasant and understanding of the situation and he would just fluster, make excuses and get defensive rather than deal with the customers in a professional manner. He spent the evening ignoring us and just generally behaving so childishly that it tarnished the great quality of the food. I'd take him off the floor if I was the owner, as he's clearly not capable of don't his job and giving his paying customers the respect they deserve. Everyone else serving was quite pleasant. Just this guy really went all in with bad service and ruined the night for us. We're so shocked. Honestly, you'd think they'd treat customers giving them just under £80 a little better. Will not be coming here to eat again, just for beers from the lovely girl at the bar, for the tables outdoors in the sun and banter with locals. Stay CLEAR of the dining room and the big black cloud of...

My husband and I and our friends visited this place a few weeks back on the last night of our trip to Mull. I believe the Football final was on. The food and the atmosphere were great! What wasn't too great though was the attitude of our server :( My husband has health issues that prevent him from eating large portions of food, so a lot of the time orders from the starter or kids menu. He ordered the Mac and cheese from the kids menu as it is a much more manageable portion with his condition. When the food was brought to him the waiter served it and said "here's the kids mac and cheese" while sniggering.

Now. I understand that an adult ordering from the kids menu isn't usually the norm. But he did ask when ordering if it was okay and was told yes but doesn't feel like need to disclose his medical condition unless really needed. What we didn't appreciate was the lack of consideration when delivering his food that the waiter felt the need to draw attention to the fact that he had ordered from the kids menu and smirked and sniggered as if this is some sort of joke. I was SO close to saying something at the time but I know my husband would not have wanted any further attention to be drawn to him so I left it but I feel it is good to give constructive criticism so that a lesson in discretion can be learned from this. So to the tall brunette, man bun wearing, bearded waiter.... do...

Had dinner with four friends and a dog. Staff could not be more accommodating and friendly. Food is pub grub and the better for it. Can't stand the no food cuisine some idiots try to pass off typical example 12 inch plate with a lettuce leaf a prawn and a dod of sauce which they will call a juis . Even the morons in my home city of London got off that train years ago. Going back to the staff the two we met were exceptionally good. The gentleman behind the bar 🍸 who had a beard and the mature lady that served us at table much to my shame I did not get their names. I believe they were both originally from the north of England, thank you both . There was a log fire burning and considering the pub is situated in a bit of a 'tourist trap' area the atmosphere was very friendly and genuine and you felt you were in the Hebrides thank you to the other staff we did not see cook waiting staff owner your efforts are appreciated and can without reservation recommend so much so we are coming back to Mull in October and hope to pop in a couple of times. Declan...
