Lovely little cake shop/cafe, came here for afternoon tea for a belated Valentine’s Day. Always seen and passed this place but never been in. It’s a nice escape in the winter, lovely and warm inside with a glowing fire. The afternoon tea was beautiful, fresh sandwiches cheese for me and tuna for the other half, we also had pancakes, meringues, millionaires shortbread and the best part warm scones fresh out the oven (all part of the afternoon tea) - the scones were absolutely amazing! Lots of butter, jam and cream to go on them too. We also had a coffee in the price which was lovely. The afternoon tea wasn’t too badly priced but looking at the prices of other things on the normal menu, it seems quite expensive for me, I know cost of living prices have gone up but surely not to that extent. I’d definetly come back for another afternoon tea as that was good value for money in my eyes but that’s probably about it. The quality of food was outstanding though and the service...

Visited The Wishing Well last Saturday - been dying to go for a long time - not been there since I was a wee girl - took my other half with me and we both absolutely LOVED it! So cosy and welcoming and we were lucky to get a table without booking in advance - it was really busy which is always a good sign! We had cream of cauliflower soup and the breast of chicken mayo sandwiches on brown bread - we were fit to burst after eating it all - 10/10 everything was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been nicer to us! Although we were stuffed we felt it would be rude (lol) not to try the home-baked fruit scones accompanied with amazing butter and home-made jam - the scones were warm and the pot of tea and latte went down a treat! Very greedy of us to indulge but so glad we did - noticed they serve Afternoon Tea from 2.30-4.00pm so we will most definitely be back for another visit - can’t wait!!!!!!! Thanks for a lovely experience and a trip down memory lane ☕️🫖🥪🧁🍰🫶🏼 LESLEY...

Arrived and the place had a terrible weird musty smell, and had to wait a long time to be served. When the waitress finally came, I asked if the milkshakes were good, and she said they were REALLY good. What I got was a glass of flavored milk. The Ginger beer and lime was undrinkable, with WAY too much lime, and floaters in the glass. My wife had two sips and left it. The food is expensive for what you get, but reasonably tasty, at best. The atmosphere is non existent, and the floors were filthy. When I told the waitress about the drinks, she said she would inform the kitchen, and came back with the card machine, and charged full price for everything. Will never go back. The Swan Inn has way better food and service, just...

This is such a good place to go .. I’m vegetarian and the sandwiches are so fresh and nice … Also I honestly have to say the chips are made to perfection .. The meringue and cream was beautiful.. The service is second to none … The people serving are so nice and have banter Unfortunately I don’t live in Scotland anymore or I’d be going here more .. Perfect Scottish food with great service … Made my trip back to Scotland excellent .. Thank you so much
