Having dropped my car off at Kinghorn Motors for its MOT, Tornado Bagel, on the High Street, was recommended to me for a bite to eat and a coffee whilst I waited on my car. This was at 07.45 am, so I wasn't convinced that it would be open as the last places for something to eat in Kinghorn didn't usually open till later. But no, the cafe was open, and as I found out, it opens at 06.30 am. Great if you need breakfast before work. The interior looks fresh, and the tables and chairs are set out so as not to feel cramped. It was warm, too. I ordered the Scottish breakfast bagel with a latte. The cost of the latte was reduced to a pound if bought with the breakfast, fantastic price, and it was a proper latte, too. The breakfast bagel came with a ramekin of beans, which were very hot and stayed hot ( nothing worse than cold beans). The food was very tasty and cooked really well, couldn't fault any of it. The prices were on par with similar establishments. The owner of the cafe was polite, prompt, and well presented ( and has a great taste in music). There are toilets available for customers, which were clean and tidy. If you are in the area, it's well worth a visit.

This place is very unassuming and easy to not notice but when you do pop in it's totally worth it and such a delight. The bagels are more than just bagels, they use really good ingredients and take time to make sure all the flavours are balanced. The Pastrami bagel was delicious and had the perfect mix of crunch and with the crisp fried onion and pickle against the soft and flavoursome pastrami. Definitely pop in if you can as it's very surprising how they've taken something as simple and plain as a bagel and made it something special. The staff were also lovely, the place was really busy but they still made sure we had everything we needed and made polite conversation. The guy was telling us it's his mum's place and she bakes all the cakes etc so please do try as this is a lovely wee family business and the coffee is fantastic as well as the food.

We on a special holiday in Scotland & staying in Kinghorn. We found this little gem on Monday & absolutely loved it, relaxing, family friendly atmosphere with the most delicious bagels out .. so much so we returned Wednesday to try something else from the delicious menu. You have to restain yourself not to eat too quickly, it was so yummy !! 😋 music 🎶 fab, & I will take home with me the ways you can enjoy bagels in so many different ways, we'll have to start experimenting ourselves. Dog friendly too. So do your tummy a favour and make a visit or three. We still got friday to come!!

Booked in advance and took 14 people in for lunch after our Ramblers walk. Despite changing the numbers and arriving earlier than booked, we received a warm welcome. Most of us ordered a bagel and coffee - I had an Italian bagel. Great selection of fillings and our vegan member was catered for. Coffee is excellent - "best I've tasted" said one of our members -and we loved the bright "spotty" mugs. Despite the size of our party, the drinks and food were produced very quickly and the bagels - sweet and savoury - were a great hit. I had an Italian bagel. Also recommend the delicious almond croissants. Thanks to you all. The visit rounded off our day out...
