Vittorio's Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Scotland

Poor customer service!! Ordered a chicken kebab, however on getting home my husband found it to be burnt black. He ate 2 small bits of chicken and couldnt eat anymore due to the overpowering taste of charcoal. I took the kebab back and was going to ask them if they could just make a burger instead. I walked up to the counter and whispered to the staff as there was another customer in. The lovely girl behind the counter took it to show the guy who cooked it. He called over another staff member and began ranting before coming over to me. He told me that there was nothing wrong with the kebab and it was cooked perfectly!! I stated that it was unedible due to burnt taste. He then started ranting that he cleaned the grill everynight and that there was nothing wrong with hygiene! I replied that I never questioned the cleanliness of the place and that we had been in frequently over the past few weeks with no concerns. I also stated that we thought that the food had been lovely and we really liked it. He brought the kebab back over to show me that it was perfect, however when I stated that it looked burnt to me he said well thats a small bit!! I found him to be very rude, patronising and confrontational!!! I was going to ask just for a burger (which was a fraction of the price of a kebab, I would have said that it didnt matter about the price difference), however he never even gave me the option. He stated that I could get a refund and then tried to put it through as a small kebab, when I informed him that it was a large kebab he scoffed and said that there were only 4 pieces of chicken left!! Used them regularly when we fancy a chip supper - we don't order fish as it's poor quality. Staff are never that friendly but as I just want food I was never that bothered until today - ordered online through them, food took the 40 mins they said (normally they are either super early or super late the times don't seem to mean much) what annoyed me was ordering a 2l bottle of coke and getting a 1.5l bottle. When I rang up to query it, I was told they don't sell 2l bottles and Just Eat is wrong (I ordered directly through Vittorio's website). I then proceeded to listen to a man in the background rant about my call and say that's what you get when you order with Just Eat. I was asked what else I expected as a 1.5l bottle is the biggest you can get (pretty sure you can buy a 2l bottle and that is what the receipt they provided said I had paid for). What annoyed me was the so what attitude - it felt very much 'we've had your money now go away' - I felt ripped off - maybe the till receipt is wrong, maybe the website is, either way the we don't care attitude has left me knowing I won't use them again, the lukewarm chips being the final nail in the coffin. Absolutely shocking service been going to this chippy for over 22 years and the service I received was atrocious. Had 4 meals. Asked for no salad and separate sauce on kebab but first fish was all stuck to paper chips and curry was squashed and pouring out and the scrunchy was soggy. The donner kebab however came with the sauce one top. It actually didn’t look like chilli either it looked like salsa it was very thick. We phoned to ask and got screamed down the phone and told there was a charge we are fine with that but they didn’t say this while ordering. Maybe if the girl serving was actually paying attention. Told to take back over for them not to even sort it for us. Told us to never come back again and gave us our money back but not even the right amount £6 not £6.50. So one of us had nothing even if we wanted it was the best looking thing to be honest. This place has went right down hill and after tonight’s experience they actually thought we’d go back is a joke and to get dirty looks walking into a chippy for a wrong order is disrespectful.
