August 2025 not the food as advertised on this page , apparently I was told that the previously owners won't hand over the page for them to update to the NEW MENU !! Is what i was told from the 2 younger staff behind the counter which i did not shout at as the owner has stated on her reply !!! ,I found the 2 young staff very approachable and helpful) ,probably okay if you want coffee cakes, scones sandwiches & quiche etc but the lady was pretty rude when she came out of the kitchen and I asked her for proper home cooked food Burger,Fish & Chips etc which was advertised on this page but Apparantly they don't do food like that any more ,don't think I'll rush back but be careful you don't get caught out of having no where to get food if you want to sit in as there are not may places in Lochcarron to sit in ,if the page had been updated with the new menu when the new owners had taken overthis cafe this would have been avoided, but the good old Spar is really well stocked !!! I will have a lovely holiday thank very much you...

Loved that we accidentally stumbled on this cafe our first Sunday in the area on a hunt for a coffee. Not only did we get a great coffee but also fantastic breakfast baps to go. While waiting a cake came out from the kitchen ready for the days customers it was chocolate and looked delicious. Later that day my daughter and I headed down the hill for a piece of cake. I choose the chocolate, she the custard and rhubarb neither of us were disappointed. As a family we have returned again today to treat ourselves to afternoon tea, the coconut and lime cake, carrot cake, berry cheesecake and rocky road were tried and no one was disappointed. The cakes look and taste as cake should luscious and sinful and the coffee is good. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful. The rest of the menu looks great and before we leave the area I imagine we will be back to sample some of the rest of the menu. Highly recommend The...

In short, we visited on pizza night and they were some of the best pizzas we had ever had. Okay slightly longer version, I have been lucky enough to try pizzas throughout a number of Italian cities and one restaurant I ate at, is consistently voted in the top 20 pizzerias in Europe. The pizza's would not have been out of place at any of the Italian restaurants I ate at, they are fabulous. I hope the young chap who creates the Waterside's pizzas continues to do so and if so I am positive we will see his pizza's in the top twenty someday. Sorry I should note that the cafe is very stylish and very popular. All the staff are friendly and helpful. It's not unusual to find this gem full, so I recommend booking in advance. Note, if you are unlucky and can't get a table, ring and enquire about takeaway, as I believe they offer this service. Looking forward to visiting...

We stopped by this café on a rainy day while traveling along the coast of the Scottish fjords. It had a very cozy and homey feel, like a place run by a family. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The interior was simple, but the atmosphere was warm and calm. It was nice to take a break from the road and enjoy the view of the bay through the large windows. The food was tasty, and the prices were reasonable, especially for a tourist area. Everything felt natural and made with care. We were happy to discover a place like this — honest, quiet, and with a personal touch. Definitely worth visiting if you’re passing by. We’d love to come back someday.

Excellent find here! They have a good breakfast and lunch menu and a awesome selection of teas. I opted for the pancakes which tasted just as nice as they looked. My wife got a chicken sandwich which she said was also very good. We had to takeaway a couple of cakes. One being the red velvet and the other banana and blueberry. Both of which were delicious. The red velvet had a hint of nutty flavour which was nice. Customer service was excellent. They were all very friendly. It also didn’t seem too expensive which is a bonus! If you are around this neck of the woods be sure to stop by.
