Wee Sunny’s — Restaurant in Scotland

Have had food numerous times from Sunny's. Friends were at caravan site in Monifieth so we met them and suggested takeaway for dinner. Had to he a delivery as none of us had a car with us. Order made. Now this wasn't a small order. Almost £60 worth of food. They advised it would be 1-1.5 hours. After 1.5 hours had passed we called to he told it was out with the driver. Knowing it is around 15 minutes to get from restaurant to us and order was already with driver we waited. Another 30 minutes passed so we called back to be told order was just leaving the restaurant now. 2 hours have passed since we ordered. They advised they were mistaken on the earlier call and that they had actually 2 orders for the caravan park. I see this as highly unlikely. If there were 2 orders would you not send both at the same time with the driver. Especially when the wait for l deliveries was 1-1.5hours. Actually wish I had read reviews first as this seems to be an ongoing issue for several years deliveries not being a priority. Cancelled our order only for the phone to be hung up. Had to call back as had paid by card over the phone to ensure refunded. Got the train into Dundee and had dinner in under an hour. Not only lost a delivery customer but a regular customer now. Will also be letting everyone I know, know too. Absolutely...

For the last 5 years this has been my regular place to feed my curry and kebab cravings. Pizzas are ace as well! I would recommend the biryani dishes, do ask for your curry sauce to be adjusted just how hot you would like it as the guys are super friendly and tailor your food for you, and they also remember it for next time! Chicken for the curry's are tasty, don't know how the hell they manage to cook it but it's thoroughly enjoyable with big pieces of actual chicken breast you won't find eraser type of chunks of boiled chicken here. My kebab recommendation would be mixed roti with extra salad and babas sauce (big tub of it) for dunking! The best doner meat in the town, jucey thick slices of tasty seasoned meat. The buffet is reasonably priced, and no match for any other buffet offering in dundee in terms of freshness and quality. Don't go next door to the Chinese, believe me, not worth it no matter how bad you crave a Chinese, if it's buffet you are after. This is the place. My wife is gluten free and had no issues over the years and there amazing choices for her.

Recently used them for a family event at Chamber East , and they went above and beyond with their service, over delivery of excellence on all levels.

Stewart attended our event in Custom traditional Sharwani, excellent value for money, with all the guests complimenting the food.

Would highly recommend Sunny's to do the catering for your next event.

The Home Style Curries, Pizzas and Calzones were scrumptious, as well as the Starters which consisted of Chicken Kebabs, Fish Pakora's and Tandoori chicken.

The selection of desserts and attention to detail, to ensure the hot food buffet serving stations were kept topped up, with the desserts plated up professionally, speedily and smoothly was phenomenal to observe.
