Amazing pub with amazing food + service Enjoyed the Beaverton neck oil too a great addition to the bar. The location and environment is fresh and clean with a service to match. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves classic/well made food. 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 all round. Can't wait for our next visit 💙👍🏻

Just had one of the best Sunday lunches ever. Perfect prawn cocktail for the starter and gorgeous roast beef with all the trimmings for main. Delicious. Excellent service and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

If I could give zero I would. When the starter eventually arrived it was cold and then reheated in the microwave, not good for garlic bread! . The main meals were equally poor and the sausages were not only cold but actually undercooked. The customer service non existent. I had the audacity to complain and was spoken to as if was my fault they were busy and the food was cold, when I asked to speak to the manager I got the assistant manager who was the lady (Nicole?) who was rude in the first place, I asked to speak to her away from all her other customers and complained about how she spoke to me. I did not shout at any point I complained about the service I’d received, she didn’t like it. She got the manager. He accused me of shouting and upsetting his staff, he stood and shouted into my face, not allowing me to answer, and tried to intimidate me in front of everyone, I left. At no point did either apologise for upsetting me or serving cold and late food. Will not...

Sunday lunch for four adults and two children. Hard to criticise the girls trying to serve us, but really this was a case of trying to make bricks out of straw. We ordered a mixed grill and two rump steaks but both were not available. Trying to replace one steak with a 'ranchero' burger proved fruitless too; the chef did not have the ingredients. They did have a plain burger, which had to suffice. It was a similar story with sweets. The 'three scoops of ice cream' didn't work either, as there was no vanilla. This didn't help the sundae either, which consisted not of a sundae glass but a tray. The waffle fingers and mini doughnuts dominated this dish but were a couple of days old at least. Add in the tv showing continuous greyhound racing and it really did not add up to a great experience. The girls tried their best but really,...

We have recently moved into this area and are mystified why the locals turn their noses up at this pub. We've been in about seven or eight times and have always found the place to be spotlessly clean with really great value food and very competitively priced drinks. We had the fish and chips last time and it was better than the supposed award winning fylde road chippy and £4 cheaper per person in much nicer surroundings, the landlady is a very personable and friendly person who is very aware of her customers needs and trys her best to keep her customers happy. People of Marshside dont turn your noses up at the Shrimper your living...
