The Waterside Bar, Restaurant & Terrace — Restaurant in Sevenoaks

After a long day of exploring, I was eagerly recommended this restaurant for dinner. My first impression was promising, as the ambiance offered a pleasant atmosphere, and the view was decent. However, as I perused the menu, I found it rather limited, with few enticing options to choose from. When our meals arrived, I was disappointed to discover that the flavors were quite bland and lacking in creativity.

The most troubling part of the evening occurred when I found a hair nestled among my son's peas. I promptly reported the issue to a staff member, hoping for a quick resolution. Unfortunately, they seemed indifferent and informed me that their staff allegedly had no hair, dismissing my concern despite the evidence I presented. While some of the staff members were indeed helpful, this experience left a sour note on an otherwise...

Shocking. We booked for a 70th birthday party and they said they would reserve a special table.

When we got there, they did not check the reservations and said they didn't know.

The waitress asked if we want to sit in the lobby or in the restaurant so we chose the restaurant. The restaurant table wasn't special at all as they promised. We sat down without being shown to the table. They gave us menus but half were breakfast and the lunch menu is poor. They then told us to order we have to go to the bar which was odd. We ordered 4 cokes and they came out in plastic bottles, we opted to keep them sealed, gave them back and left.

It's a golf club place to eat, not a proper restaurant. Don't go there with expectations of good service or high...

My son and I had a very relaxing time at The Waterside on Father's day. Sadly my husband, my son's dad, is no longer with us. Such a lovely venue. We sat beside the pond on the terrace, everything feels better when you are alongside water. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We both opted for the burgers (my son had the vegetarian burger), which were lovely, as were the chips and coleslaw. The only downside is that there are very few vegetarian options on the menu. Also, the menu is very limited. I understand that this is not a Restaurant in the purest sense, but I really think the menu needs upgrading. The chefs are obviously very capable, and I think they deserve to showcase...
