The food we ordered was fantastic to be honest. The garlic bread super level garlic if a little limp. The chicken passanda that I had was tasty and again a healthy dose of garlic in there.
The onion bhajis were served ala carte style, cut up into oblongs almost with a sprinkling of pomegranate salad and raita. They were not crispy but too soft for my liking. They did taste pretty good though so that was their saving grace.
Reports from everyone else were good and nothing was “too spicy”. I would have liked more heat.
The poppadoms 6+1 free with pickle tray were £8.90 which I thought was extortionate. The pickle tray really lacked lustre. Soup like sauces and plenty of onion salad. Would have loved to have seen crafted pickles (I make my own personally) for that price.
The pottery was asymmetric stoneware in neutral colours which made the food look wholesome and organic even! Very nice touch.
The place had been renovated since I went last and I would say now it looks cosmopolitan and trendy. Less traditional Asian. The waiter joked that the renovation was reflected in the price, but he wasn’t wrong lol. We paid £86.90 for three mains, three starters, three drinks, a rice and 1 naan and don’t forget the poppadams and lack lustre pickle tray.
The waiter Taz was a comedian and even showed us a video of himself pretending to be George Michael. He ought to consider not making guests evenings out about him however. I have done silver service for special events before so do have some knowledge. He was great though and to be fair made the evening complete!
Thanks for a lovely evening. Use the Qr code to follow for more...

Read moreOn 26th December 2023 we went for buffet at INDUS RESTAURANT which is Sheffield near IKEA store.
Ambience is Good, Service is ok but the food taste is gone.
Indians who eat spicy food don't prefer this restaurant. You will definitely feel frustrated while paying the bill.
In the buffet we had Chicken tikka, chicken niblets, Naans, jeera rice, onion pakora, papad, chicken curry, Butter chicken, fish fry, Lamb curry, Chole curry and French fries and salads.
Fish fry and French fries are good rest all or worse.
Don't ask me about the curries they were too sweet instead of spicy bcoz of too many onions in curries.
Kababs are half cooked. one will definitely don't like.
Overall you will have a nightmare experience if you are from INDIA and who is looking for a spicy restaurant.
FINALLY it's an ENGLISH PPL RESTAURANT not suitable for INDIANS.
