A Truly Disappointing and Overpriced Experience – Avoid!

I was absolutely shocked by how terrible my first visit to this establishment was. Given the steep prices, I expected a decent portion and good quality food, but what I received was the complete opposite—a meal that was both stingy in portion and lacking in flavor.

I ordered a jacket potato with curry sauce, but the amount of sauce provided was laughable—barely enough to cover the potato, let alone add any real flavor. It felt like they were intentionally skimping on ingredients to save costs while still charging premium prices. To make matters worse, the sauce itself was thin, watery, and completely lacking in taste. I had to ask multiple times for more sauce, only to be met with reluctant and unhelpful staff who clearly had no interest in ensuring customer satisfaction.

For £5.40, I expected a proper meal—something filling, tasty, and worth the money. Instead, I received a half-raw jacket potato that was hard, clumpy, and completely inedible rather than the soft and fluffy texture you’d expect. There is nothing worse than biting into an undercooked potato—it was so bad that I had to force myself to eat as much as I could just to avoid feeling like I had completely wasted my money.

Been my daughters favourite place to eat since the day it opened, but unfortunately there is 1 member of staff who spoils this place. I walked in today and as the man went to serve me an Asian man walked in and he was served 1st, this is the 3rd time this has happened to me witnessed on all occasions by my 7 year old and served by the same guy (little with glasses) 1 of the visits there was no cheese in my daughters "cheese panini" but have always recieved perfect food and service from all other members of staff. I had such a fantastic experience at Potato Oven and Man. From the moment I walked in, the service was friendly, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcome. Waj and Manaaf were simply amazing — so great, so careful, and genuinely thoughtful in making sure everything was perfect. The food was excellent: fresh, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection.
