Had a very nice lunch with Oysters, Seafood chowder, Croque Monsieur, Mussels and fries. Nice whisky Mignonette for the oysters, also the creamy mussel broth slightly touched with whisky worked very well. Seafood chowder was really quite a yummy portion, prawns slightly overcooked though. Chef struggled a bit to deliver those items in the typical order as they were apparently alone in the kitchen (it was 2.30pm on a weekday) but very friendly staff explained and apologized which is totally fair. Beautiful house in a beautiful setting, I could even directly look at the water right from my seat. Overall a bit of an upscale experience without any unnecessary stiffness serving delicious food at a reasonable price point.

Came here for my partners birthday dinner. We were welcomed by the reception staff, followed by a glass of Prosecco each on the house. Then taken to our table where we both had delicious fresh bread, scallops to start and I had the steak and my partner had the lamb. The scallops with the touch of raspberry was the best part! Great scotch whiskey too.

Had dinner here tonight as part of my stay at Toravaig House. Everything was fantastic. The food was great and the drinks were superb, but the service was especially wonderful. Everyone did a great job of taking care of me. And the Dead Man's Chest drink was a very nice surprise! Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Skye

The hotel is lovely but the expectations for the restaurant were not met. I ordered the heirloom tomatoes as a starter and then the carrot tortellini as my main. I wish I had taken pictures. Bread with heather honey butter was brought out to start the meal in a tiny skillet. The heirloom tomato presentation was lovely - light and refreshing. The main was brought out on two plates so the presentation was extremely odd. On one plate was half a carrot with a dukkah pesto. On the other plate was five tortellini in a hazelnut foam. Frankly, the food was very bland. The hazelnut foam did very little to elevate the tortellini. The half a carrot was cooked well but was not impressive. The portion sizes so small that the rabbits in my backyard probably felt more satisfied than I was. I was going to order the cod but the table next to ours asked for salt to be brought to their table - which is usually a warning sign and I love a good vegetarian option. Mistake. For dessert, I ordered the honey custard. The dessert was well done and my favorite part of the meal. Left hungry and went back to my room to eat my cheddar scone that I had bought on the road trip out to Skye. Will definitely be eating somewhere...

Avoid this place at all costs! We ate there tonight and the service was under par but more importantly the food was a joke! I have eaten fine dining around the world, but this place is just insulting you with the prices they are charging for the scraps they are giving you! I had the venison which is not an expensive meat and for £34 got given two messily strips! It is not even a hard meat to cook like Beef! I had the jersey royal potatoes as a side and they are not even seasoned and my wife had the vegetarian with wilted vegetables which were not wilted and not even seasoned! Plus there is no season on the table for you to season! I asked if they do a Irish coffee and what came back was a coffee with half of it filled with thick double cream! We had takeaway from claymore bar in Broadford last night and it was 100% so much better! This place is an insult to fine dining and your wallet so if you want decent service with decent food and that is worthy of the price, avoid this place at...

It was the most amazing food we ever had ( pigeon and beef tartare as a starter, lamb as the mains and cheese platter to share). We have been spoiled so badly that it might be hard to find any better, the service was great, even if they didn’t want to give us a deal, e.g. a bucket full of black pudding or a bag full of haggis balls (honestly, best things ever). We even offered dancing and singing… no chance ;) yes, you get a quick overview of the plate you have chosen, but if it is in a quality like that, even I eat rather slowly and enjoy the best ever given to me. The espresso and the tawny (very recommendable to the cheese platter) force you to kneel down as well, just that you know. We are thinking to move in and do the the dishes, honestly. And we will definitely be back. By the way: the price we paid was including an expensive bottle of wine, which was really good (the Syrah). Maybe we were lucky - regarding the bad judges before… but we will let you know if we have been...
