Poor service and extremely bad food quality.

I visited this place some time ago with family and ordered food. I had a chicken dish with potato's which came to me raw in the centre. I complained about this and the issue was dealt with immediately. There was nothing to argue with here. I was happy how they dealt with the issue and assured them I'll be back.

Fast forward a year to today. And I am back. Again, I ordered through the app. 15 minutes later, we went to ask where the drinks from the order were? We were told the ticket was lost and that the food is being made. 2 people who arrived at the bar 10 minutes after our order walked out with their drinks before us. When the condiments were delivered to our table, I asked what was taking so long and why people are being served although we had ordered before? I was greeted with a complete attitude and told "you complained last time. I replied "yes?" The food was bad and I complained. She then continued to argue with me asking why have I come back etc? Then pointed at someone and said (without fact) you have come here with her and she was banned but I let her in. I replied no I did not come with her and even if I did. What gravity does that have on the fact you have lost our order? Or the fact I've complained in the past? She stated she didn't have to serve me to which I said correct. You don't. Here is my drink, I will have a full refund....

Extremely disappointing food, went with one other person, their 1st fish was very dark batter and dry. Sent back. Second piece not quite as dark, but left unpleasant aftertaste, bordering on 'gone off', mushy peas, more mushy soup not many peas.

The other dish was mine, hungry for steak, doubled up, added sauce and scampi added side salad. My companion ate most salad waiting for 2nd fish. My scampi was cold. As were the chips and steak and onion rings. Did have original sauce, next choice Merlot and dripping, not hot temperature but pleasant enough. Advertised vine tomatoes, was delivered as half cold one. Steak promised loads but very gristle, unable to cut. Cooked rare, no sear. I was invited to steal some hot chips, asked for and eventually delivered with second fish.

Feel the team did their best. Possibly not an experienced chef. Leadership wise, (deputy manager) arrived 25 mins after our meal. She was lovely, and full meal refunded apart from the 2 cups of tea we were still charged for.

Left very hungry, and disappointed. Could more have been done?? Maybe different meal or a dessert. Manager or deputy onsite (felt no one was in charge or on premises at the time we ate) Hoping refund will still go through.

This pub restaurant used to be amazing. Great pub, needs...

Visited here 6pm Sunday 16th April 23. Pub was quiet, a local style for a village. Had cycled from London to a friend at Meldreth with a mate and decided to walk round and get a beer and some food for all 3 of us. First beers, Abbot, were fine. Ordered food which took 15/20 mins to arrive, reasonable? went to use the toilet and could smell it before I opened the door!! Second beer ordered whilst waiting food was very cloudy and didn't settle so we asked for replacements, which took quite some sorting! Food arrived and was Not hot, the pies (1 x chicken + 1 x beef) were not fresh from the oven, more like microwave given the chewy texture of the pastry! Chips & veg not hot. My friend ordered fish and chips which looked awful, he sent the mushy peas back to be heated but they were never brought back! He asked the server where they were but had nearly finished his meal and declined the return. The man (assume manager) who took the orders and attended to us was not once apologetic nor did he offer any reason or replacements for poor quality / service. I'm not prone to complaining, in fact I write very rarely, but this was disgraceful to say the least! I won't use...
