Hi fellow foodies. Unfortunately this is not a good review post- rather a bad experience post where we didn’t get to try the food post. After reading a few good reviews about LOT25 here, I decided to go there with my 18 month old child. We were there around 11:50. We were initially provided a seat upstairs by one of the servers but one of other servers ( an older lady who I assumed was a senior staff or manager) told him that upstairs will be closed and they brought us to the downstairs seating area. I was given both the breakfast menu and the lunch menu and even before I could pick anything, the female staff told my server that no breakfast will be available and the Sunday roast won’t be available till 12:30. As my child was hungry, I requested if they could provide me anything that would be suitable for a child. The lady didn’t even consider for a second before she said nothing is available. The guy who was initially serving looked a bit helpless at this point and we weren’t offered anything else. The female server looked like she couldn’t wait to get rid of us. I was surprised by how unwelcome they made me feel and left the premises as soon as possible. Usually restaurants try to accommodate any request made for little ones or at least show some decency to make an effort to do so. I never bother to write any reviews but I thought I need to bring this experience to people’s attention in case they were planning to...

Arrived at the cafe to learn we had just missed breakfast by 8 minutes .This was unfortunate, as we had had an early start and had taken part in a sporting event we were very hungry. There is a 30 minute gap between the end of breakfast and the start of the lunch menu. We ordered coffees and a scone which was delicious, which is why we have given the 4 star review for food , and looking around the garden at all the tables who had been served breakfast they looked excellent. However although we were allowed to view the lunch menu , we weren’t however allowed to put an order in for lunch until 12 . 12 came and went no one came to take our order , so I went into the restaurant, and asked if I could now order lunch . No was the answer , even when I explained our circumstances. We needed to wait for someone to come to our table , in case we weren’t the first people to order lunch !!! Guess what they didn’t come to the table and then proceeded to serve another table that had arrived after us !!!! So we left ....

We were habitual customers of Lot25, and this was our first time after the recent renovation. We arrived just after 11:30am and were served food at 1:15, after waiting for some time even to get our food order taken. And it wasn’t explained to us that there was a long wait for the food.

We ordered a chicken sandwich and a burger. Around 1pm, one of the waitresses explained that the food would be arriving soon, that they hadn’t forgotten about us, but that the burgers take a long time to make
The burger was burnt (hard black crust), completely dry and unseasoned (not even just some salt). The worst burger I ever had.

The kitchen seemed understaffed and slow, and the food was overpriced. If it was just a Sunday morning problem (it wasn’t that busy when we arrived either), then it’s definitely a place to avoid at busy times. The renovation itself looked lovely, but sadly, the food and service...

My wife and I found Lot 25 following an overnight stay nearby. We shy away from motorway services, chain coffee houses and the like, and seek out, shall we say, a slightly more upmarket alternative. I opted for a vegetarian breakfast and oat milk cappuccino, whilst my wife enjoyed an americano. Our coffees were served with biscuits cooked on site, and my avocado, asparagus, feta and radish on toasted sourdough was absolutely delicious. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the premises were clean and airy, and we had a look around the garden centre after. We’d parked nearby and walked, but found parking available on site also. In summary, we thoroughly enjoyed our short visit, and will definitely take a little diversion away from the A14 and call again in the future.

Latest visit Feb 25 The main barn has recently been renovated and makes a wonderful new dining area - it's a beautiful setting and brings out the beauty of the barn. Fabulous new menu (since I last visited), service was excellent from a team that show they care. Absolutely worth a visit if you are coming to the area. Pie, pud and pint for under ÂŁ20 was a win. Thanks to all the team we will be back! Fantastic breakfast great value tucked away in the village of Willingham Another visit today 21/01/24 Amazing roast beef sandwiches for lunch. New menus since our last visit. Love this place. Great service and super food. Thanks to everyone for your contributions

Good service. Light and airy place to sit. Could pick a few faults with the breakfast though. Generous portion, beans and mushroom were lukewarm. They zapped the beans to heat them through for me with no bother. I also would have preferred the sausage to be a bit more caramelised on the outside, there was only one bit of it that was, It was quite grey looking generally. But high quality ingredients so I have to assume it was a bit of a one off or something was rushed on the day.
