Not sure how this place has 4.5 / 5.0 as it was quite honestly very poor. Overall, the pub is okay if not a bit slap dash, but it’s a nice enough old building.

That being said, the ā€˜Coke’ did not taste like Coke, and the food was not quite mediocre. The Girlfriend had a Pie and Mash, which was okay if not just a little bland. However, I had a ā€œ12 Oz Plough Burgerā€ which is just two of their 6 Oz burgers put together… The Bun was dry and crumbly, the salad limp and half hearted, the cheese (Ā£1.00 extra) was oily cheddar and the burgers themselves very, very bland and questionably cooked (not sure if boiled, or Fried, perhaps a Microwave, but certainly no grill marks, evidence of charring, or flavour of any kind… Almost like a cheap burger, from a can some how)

Overall, very mid - could not...

Stopped by here on the way home from a road trip, chose this pub for the Lasagna as I had a craving, overall the food was ok, the lasagna was dry with no white sauce in sight, there was plenty of meat and pasta but just lacked the sauce. The onion rings were cooked well and were very nice, the staff were friendly but wrong information was given regarding a starter which I specifically asked the question for so when arrived I couldn’t eat, she did offer for it to be taken off the bill but you already pay when ordering, couldn’t be bothered to chase it after. Prices were reasonable, Overall ok pub grub but nothing to shout about, personally I wouldn’t go back if passing again, so 3 stars is fare, sauce in the lasagna and better knowledge of the menu would be a...

Had tea tonight what a treat lovely wholesome food, fully satisfied with the dishes served steak and Ale pie and the special of the day. No room for dessert sadly. Staff very happy, smiles and made us feel welcome as a visitor to the area.Accommodating, with " walk in" (we didn't book a table) unlike another local pub The JB. Thank you very much to Lucy who was kind and helpful and polite who was able to find us a table and wait on us with her colleague Ava. The food which was ordered arrived in a timely fashion and piping hot and was good value for money. Lucy deserves a pay rise (hint hint). The pub was full with customers which clearly indicates how popular it is in Duxford. Don't miss this absolute Gem; we will visit again if we return to the area...

Went for a weekend getaway to Duxford and came here for a meal. Honestly couldn’t recommended it more! Great atmosphere, great service. We were seated by Ben and between himself and his colleague whose name we didn’t get (blonde lady) made us feel right at home. The service was just top notch the food was fantastic! I questioned what to have and Ben was helpful in giving me an idea of what to have which was the venison and his recommendation was fantastic. I’d never had it before and honestly it was so delicious! Our waitress was very attentive and friendly, I loved that she spoke to us and recommended ice cream. Honestly couldn’t fault anything! Would go back to Duxford purely for this pub!

Really lovely little pub. Stopped off for a Saturday lunch whilst out and about. We fed 7 people for £115. The lamb shank was very delicious and there was plenty of it. The chilli con carne was full of flavour and the steaks were succulent and cooked exactly as asked for. To top it off the staff were friendly and attentive but not obtrusive. As a bonus we watched vintage aircraft flying over from the nearby Duxford IWM runway. NICE!

Great little pub in a quiet vilage. Visited at lunchtime, and it wasn't busy. Food arrived fairly quickly and had good portions. Food was all right, sausages and mash were good, i just prefer gravy wasnt runy, but i was very hungry so cleared the plate without issues. My colleague had fish and chips, and it was good. He was well happy with it. Fish and chips portion might look small, but trust me, those chips are huge,
