Disappointing Experience at The Workshop Restaurant Our recent visit to The Workshop Restaurant at Duxford was unfortunately very disappointing. As frequent visitors to Duxford, we were surprised by the uninspired menu, which we found to be significantly overpriced for the poor quality of the food. We ordered toasties and the Pilot's Platter. The toasties were undercooked and chewy, and even after being sent back, they were only partially toasted. The Pilot's Platter was also subpar, with a small piece of ham and a soggy pork pie. The quality of the food was lower than a standard supermarket meal deal, not what one would expect from a place claiming to be a restaurant. For the price charged, you'd expect a decent steak burger, not what seems to be the cheapest cash & carry burger money can buy, hidden in a brioche bun. I've had better, cheaper burgers from McDonalds and even from the local burger van. It was inedible and went in the bin. A shame, as the rest of my trip was excellent. Had to stop on the way home to find something actually worth eating.

It ruined lunch on what was otherwise a fantastic day of experiencing modern military history. I had the 'Churchill burger' presumably because it was formed from the compacted meat of the popular insurance company mascot. Bring your own food and live without regret. My friend Dave agrees.
