Stopped here on the way home on Sunday. Only about 12 other people in. Rushed when we were ordering. Haloumi sizzler brought out instead of Haloumi wrap. So we had to send it back, no offer to give us the price difference back. Waffle fries sent out instead of skin on fries ( said we would just keep them.) however realised they were rock hard and all stuck together. Garlic bread side and on both lasagnes was burnt and tasted of old oil with black bits stuck to it. Both lasagnes burnt underneath and covered with a 2.5 cm layer of thick cheap cheese meaning that was all you could taste. When the Haloumi wrap finally came back out the had forgotten the cheese on the chips we asked for when ordering. Stood with it at the bar for a good 5 minutes waiting for a member of staff so they could add it. In the end it was the chef that came out and took it. When it came out for the 3rd time the lettuce was all burnt and the Haloumi rock hard. They must have but it under the grill or hot lamp to melt the cheese. Daughter ended up just eating the chips which were anemic.Chicken gyros was cold ( it says on the menu free replacement if your skillet isn't sizzling) it wasn't even whispering never mind sizzling! But at this point we had given up. Partner ate the 6 tiny pieces of chicken that he managed to find swimming in juice in the bottom and a few of the chips but said it didn't taste right. Even The onion rings were burnt and when trying to cut them they pinged across the table. The only thing that was edible was our youngest daughters chicken dippers and peas as her chips were also undercooked (how do you mess up chicken nuggets, chips & peas?!) So we left hungry, nearly 70 quid down and never to return.

We were trying to find somewhere to eat within Stenson, when my husband phoned and booked and we were told "it is dead as a dodo just come on down" i knew what type of place it would be... But the menu online seemed good so we gave it a go. It is exactly what I thought it would be, a pub which doesn't really put any effort in to cleanliness, just like other Sizzling Pubs we have been to. All the forks on our table had food stuck between them, I had to go grab some from a different table. And there was lipstick on my glass. When we mentioned it to a member of staff they did offer to get me a new glass but didn't offer an apology. A member of staff also wanted to reach over us to grab our menus and number which was strange especially as we were in the middle of eating... The place only had a few people in so not sure why that couldn't have waited until we had finished. I had the Halloumi skillet, it was spitting hot when arrived and wasn't too bad, I do enjoy sweet chilli sauce but it was completely smothered which ruined it, it would be better in a pot I think so that the customer can add the amount they want. My husband had Steak which he enjoyed and my MIL had fish and chips which she also enjoyed. Apart from the cleanliness it wasn't too bad. It was easy to order on the app as well.

Plenty of space for parking. However when I went the place was understaffed. Lemon on fish and chips was stale, we got offered option of peas or mushy peas. I opted for mushy peas. Didn't know there was a charge for that. In addition to a charge on Peri Sauce too. Had I not asked for the receipt, I would have been non the wiser. I did not complain about that, but I was a little disappointed The setting and being able to relax was great!!! Love the lighting and seating but again much improvement needed on service and food. We were not even waved or thanked upon exiting. 😶 I personally wouldn't be in a hurry back.

Myself, my other half and our youngest visited The Stenson Fields for a family meal and were extremely happy with the food, the service and the atmosphere. Everywhere was clean and tidy, including the Toilets.

We arrived just before a football match and started in the Bar where we enjoyed a round of drinks, a game of darts and a game of pool. We found it to be a very friendly atmosphere and were pleasantly surprised how engaging the other patrons were, even offering tips on our lacklustre pool skills!

We moved through to the Lounge to sit and eat, and every aspect of the meal was fantastic!

The Bar staff were helpful and attentive to our needs, taking our food order with no fuss. They were even kind enough to allow modifications to our meals with no drama.

The food arrived promptly, was perfectly cooked and was delicious.

I had the double Beef Old Faithful with fries & onion rings, my other half had the Gyros Flatbread with Tandoori Chicken and our youngest had a 5oz Rump Steak with waffle fries & onion rings, polished off with a Lemon Meringue Sundae.

The meal was topped off with a visit from the Chef who came out to ensure all was expected with the food, and we were happy to thank him for our fantastic meals, which were cooked to perfection and were also very reasonably priced.

All in all we can thoroughly recommend The Stenson Fields for a fantastic...
