My partner and I enjoyed our time here last week so much that we went back there less than five days later. The service was excellent, and the waiting staff were very good natured and friendly, not to mention accommodating with all the variations we wanted to make to our choices on the menu. Last week, we each ate mini Yakitori sticks (see attached photo, which is missing one that I had already eaten) for our starters, which come in 7 or 8 flavours, ranging from grilled halloumi to king prawn to hoisin duck. I was expecting each one to be tiny, so I almost regretted having ordered six! They were incredible, and I couldn't decide which I enjoyed the most. The main I opted for was the very tasty chicken, bacon, and brie burger, which was again much larger than I had anticipated, to the point where I deliberately left the final few mouthfuls because I wanted to fit in a dessert. Speaking of which, as is often the case after eating a large starter and main, I chose the ice cream as I didn't want to have anything richer and risk throwing my delicious dinner back up. My eyes were clearly bigger than my belly, though, as I only managed half of it, beautiful though it was. If memory serves, my girlfriend had a pavlova, which she said was excellent. The meal wasn't cheap, but certainly worth every penny. No doubt we shall be returning to the restaurant for a third time, as soon as my waistline has recovered! Additional: I have returned numerous times since I posted the above review, and it remains an outstanding eatery. It was my first choice place to eat out on my birthday in January, and the eight of us in our group who were there all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The photos of the tasty cappuccino ice cream sandwich and the frankly delicious Espresso Martini were taken on 7th May, 2022.

Visited on a Thursday in November, around 2pm. Weather was wet and rainy, and the steps down from the car park had leaves on them, so I made use of the handrails on the side of the stairs to make sure I didnt slip over (poor footwear choice!) Booked a table in advance but there plenty of tables available for walk ins. Staff were friendly and attentive, and they checked twice if we had any allergies to anything. Drinks orders were taken first - I had a Cheeky Tiki cocktail and my partner had a beer. After these were brought out we had a chance to look at the menu and decide what we wanted to eat. Didn't bother with starters as the portion sizes are very generous (and that's from someone with a healthy appetite!). I ordered the smokey barbecue chicken skewer, which comes with 2 sides of my choosing (had the chunky chips and the salad), and my partner had the club sandwich (after seeing it come out to someone else). We did leave some of what we had ordered, and there was an option to take the leftovers home. We were asked if we wanted a dessert, and I ordered a cookie dough yakatori skewer - three cookie dough balls, smothered in chocolate on a wooden skewer. As the table had been booked for a birthday celebration, they also brought out a scoop of ice cream on a waffle wafer, on a slate with Happy Birthday written in strawberry sauce. This would have been the perfect dessert given that I was full from the main - the cookie dough skewer was great, but a lot richer than I was expecting! Would happily visit again, just need to remember to say yes to taking the leftovers home, and leaving a bit room for dessert!

We managed to get a very late notice booking for a table for two here at the White Swan. The place was very busy which made for a great atmosphere and there was a fire burning in a chiminea which was a welcome relief from the cold outside. We were shown upstairs to a more reserved dining area and were offered menu's and it was explained to us that they operate 2 kitchens, the main one and the wood fired pizza kitchen (so if different items are ordered, they may not arrive at the same time). The drinks menu was extensive, (100 beers and ciders) and they even had Chimay Blue, which they obviously don't sell any, as I pronounced it correctly to one of the servers, and he didn't understand me, so he had to send the manager up to get my order - haha! We opted for Camembert for starter, and we received some complimentary bread with oil whilst we waited. The Camembert was great, and for main I opted for the 'Big Yakitori Jalapeno Fillet Steak Stick' with mini chorizo sausages and halloumi fries as my sides, and my partner opted for the Mac and Cheese. The Yakitori stick did not disappoint, and I struggled to finish it and the halloumi, but it was fantastic. My partner was also very complimentary about the Mac and Cheese. Shout out to our server Tom, who was also fabulous throughout and very knowledgeable on the products served (was not the same chap I asked about the Chimay). We cannot wait to return.

Me and the wife came here for our anniversary dinner, first time dining here and won't be the last, staff are super friendly, loads of food to choose from, we paid £38 for a large beer, a large coke, 2 fresh stone oven pizzas, 2 cookie gelato deserts. The 2 reasons this was not a 5 star review are that cars were having to use the carpark entrance to exit due to the exit being blocked by im guessing a delivery so it was holding a lot of traffic up on the main road so I could enter. Secondly we were waiting a very long time for our deserts to arrive, only having 10 minutes left at the table before we had to leave for more customers to be seated. I would like to highlight the staff member 'MATT' for the professional, friendly service 5 stars to this gentlemen

First time visiting. Was disappointed by the quality of the beef stroganoff as the rice was so wet all you could taste was water and it also diluted the sauce around it. I did feed this back when the server asked if I had enjoyed the meal though and it felt like this was taken on board well and he did discount my meal which was unexpected and very welcome. Location of the table wasn't the best as I was halfway out the entrance to that section so had people walking right behind me a lot. Atmosphere wise it gets loud easily in that small space and I had spot lights glaring down at me which didn't create the best ambiance for a date night. I'd be willing to try again but I definitely had a better experience at the Joiners Arms from the same chain.

What a great place this is, we turned up on the off chance of getting a table but sadly the inside was full, nevertheless the staff were very accommodating and found us a table outside. Thet came straight away with a drinks menu so we could look through there vast array of drinks of which we chose a gin and beer 🍺 To say they were busy it took no time at all for our order to arrive, then they took the food order and again was with us in an appropriate amount of time. The food was delicious, service was great and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody. Great place, staff and food 👍 please drop me a thumbs up if you have found this review helpful 😊
