The Charleton Inn — Restaurant in South Hams

Went for our first meal as a family at the pub and our expectations were exceeded. The food was delicious! My brother and I have severe allergies and the Charleton is amazing at dealing with them, they ensure we eat tasty, flavourful meals which we can safely eat (which sadly is not the norm as 'plain' food is normally the go to). Lou is incredibly kind and so are the rest of the team. By far our favourite dinner we have eaten out in a long time. Would recommend this lively pub to anyone who wants top quality food with a pub atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more. Can’t fault this little gem…the atmosphere that Lou and team created the time they stop and chat to you…the food though is something else. I love food! Roast dinners especially and iv never had a roast this good ever! In fact since that said roast iv not tried cooking one as it was that insane what’s the point…tonight I had the chicken liver parfait to start that honestly I could just live on…I told Lou I’d like to just have it on tap! It’s so smooth and sooo good. First time visit to The Charlton Inn for us and we were very impressed.accomodated our party of 8 and dog at short notice.Really welcoming and friendly hosts on arrival. Menu and food was very very good.our party ordered The Monkfish,Burgers,Steak and a Vegan dish and everyone really enjoyed their meals.4 of us had dessert Sticky Toffee pudding which was just outstanding.The kitchen at The Charlton Inn produce and serve outstanding food in such lovely surroundings.
