The Dolphin Inn, Newton Ferrers — Restaurant in South Hams

Whilst on holiday we decided to visit the Dolphin. It is situated on the banks of the river Yealm in the beautiful Newton Ferrer. Every is friendly and welcoming and easy going. Truthfully ruined the end of a great week away. Sound system blaring like It was a cheap holiday park. Baby couldn't go to sleep and we had to drive home at 7 the next day. The regatta is NOT so big a deal that such a lovely village has to suffer the rubbish behaviour of loutish idiots falling about drunk and screaming along to songs being pumped out on a sound system until gone 12. It just kept going....

The service and atmosphere was great but the food not as good as we hoped, the crab cakes small and could have been from a frozen value catering pack. As were the chips. We asked for ketchup and the old tatty "Heinz" bottle definitely did not contain the original product.
