Great service Staff were so friendly and helpful Phoned to pre book table as it was mother's day and staff went above and beyond to get us booked in and accommodate us at late notice. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our table, was great with the kids and got us settled in. Food was delicious, carvery served up with a choice of meats, huge selection of vegetables and stuffing/Yorkshire puddings. Great quality food. Prices were reasonable too for what you got. Toilets Accessible entrance Carpark Outdoor seating Function room Highly recommend 👌

The sign outside says open all day but take note on Mondays and Tuesdays the kitchen shuts for food from 2:30pm till 5:00pm, on other days food all day. Plenty of parking and wheelchair friendly. We arrived on Tuesday at 2:30 and they happily served us ( 2 adults and 1 child ) . The food is first class, very generous portions all freshly cooked and priced very reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful from start to end, a place we would highly recommend.

Visited mid week around lunchtime while my car was being serviced in Ivy Bridge. Really nice and friendly, good food, well presented with generous portions. Bigger / Roomier than it looks from the outside. Bathroom was lacking as far as it appeared to be stuck in the 80s but clean enough, just a personal observation. Would make a good stop off if you're traveling down the A38 heading West.

Not good. My partner and I wanted to take my in-laws to a traditional pub lunch as they had driven 3 hours to see us for the day. We hadn't been here before but we thought we would give it go. I booked the table for 4 of us days in advance. When we arrived we were seated somewhere that would barely fit 2 people to eat together let alone 4 of us. We were placed next to a large group of adults and young children having food. Kids will be kids but we had todlers nearly knocking over my partners cider on more than 1 occasion because our tables were ridiculously close. It felt as though our table booking was an afterthought. We saw reserved tables for parties of 2 and 3 on larger tables with much more space. We politely asked to swap. The staff were careless and uninterested and clearly couldn't be bothered with the hassle of swapping table numbers. We were banished to a musky damp smelling function room which felt like a canteen to eat our meal in. We were the only ones there. The food was 50/50 but what really ruined the whole experience was the atmosphere. What could have been a lovely cosy traditional pub and carvery turned into an...

This is an old style country pub right on the A38 duel carriage way as you approach Ivybridge. Don't blink, or you will miss the turn-off. Cheeseburger chips and peas ? Not good, basic cheep pre frozen white floured bap with a tasteless beefburger relish, grated cheddar which I hate and the rest. The chips were chunky and looked nice enough until I ate one. Yuck, they left me with the taste of stale oil in my mouth for days after. I can only assume they don't change it very often. I also ended up with a very upset stomach. 3 other meals were ordered by ourselves for my wife and two friends, and they all agreed the chips looked good but tasted awful and left them with a funny dryness in the mouth and they couldn't taste things properly for a few days after. We were quite surprised by this because we had food there a couple of months earlier, and all was fine. Unfortunately, we won't be going back because this has made me...

Bad service, bad food and overpriced! My family and I, a party of 11, went for some late lunch and unfortunately it was extremely disappointing! 2 of us are Vegan, there were no vegan options on the menu however, they whipped something up for us. Sweet chilli vegetables and noodles. Nice of them to try, but it was absolutely awful! The noodles were really watery, the veg was overcooked and it lacked flavour! I had 3 mouthfuls and then gave up. No one even bothered to check if everything was ok with our food. I told them when they came to clear the plates that I was very dissatisfied with the food. To top it off, we were charged £14 each! For some overcooked veg and watery noodles!??! Our family said their chips and scampi were dry and steaks were well done instead of medium rare! We will not be eating there again and tell family and friends...
