A really lovely pub/restaurant with lots of space with areas to relax around an open fire or sit at the bar and have a quiet pint. Big range of beers on tap with plenty of non alcoholic drinks including Salcombe new London light non alcoholic gin in three different flavours.

First evening I had the fish in chips which was cooked in a very light and crispy batter and the fish was perfectly steamed inside the batter. Lovely homemade tartare and curry sauce for dipping the perfectly cooked chips in, Crumble for afters was delicious with a lovely crumble topping. Hats off to the chef!!!

Service from Joe was first class with food checks and topping up our drinks regularly.

Toilets clean and tidy.

Really lovely atmosphere, laid back and relaxed with a contemporary feel. The horseradish ketchup sauce with the burger is a real highlight and one to definitely try. Can't wait to...

Seems like the sayin" bit more than al dente" is an in house joke as i heard it on 3 occasions by the manager dealing with complaints whilst sat at our table

Where do i start. Booking for 16 at 630pm and asked in advance if its easier to preorder but they said it wouldnt be a problem. Sat down and ordered drinks...came fairly quickly but waited nearly an hour for for the starters. By 830pm the mains still hadnt arrived but more worryingly 4 tables around us had complained and left at the poor service. Some mains started coming finally at 9 but some of our table were still waiting at 930.

From the food point of view, starters were good but all the mains were poor. Service staff were were good and friendly but the overall experience was pretty poor. Mains were written off the bill but but wouldnt recommend if your looking for a nice evening...

Expensive food that is average at best. We visited for a Sunday roast and it didn't impress us, roasts costing £18+ with very little quality on the plate, meager portions, poorly presented and lacking some of the elements you would expect. We were told the Yorkshire puddings weren't available because they didn't meet their standards, nothing else they served met my standards so who knows how bad they were. I had the pork and I would expect crackling, some sort of apple sauce variant on the plate, some stuffing and more than 2 slices. Also the roast potatoes were anemic and the veg lacking in seasoning. Dessert wise I thought the flavours were nice but portions were tiny for the circa £9 a dish. I thought the staff were great, I enjoyed the beer and I liked the look of the place. I think if the food is brought up to standard then it'll be a...

Expensive for what it is. Frozen food served. Service was poor - taking plates away before the whole table had finished eating. Drinks ordered and arrived after food arrived, as we had to remind them about the drinks waiting at the bar. £17 for ham egg and chips which was a very small portion £6 for frozen garlic bread, 3 small slices Overall a rather disappointing experience Round of drinks for 6 beers and 2 soft drinks £50 Would come back for a drink but that’s it Would not return for food It’s a nice pub, but how disappointing
