3rd visit here and will not be coming back. Ok the place was very busy, but we were taken back by the rude mannerism of the woman on the till taking the food orders. We chose to ignore this assuming that she was feeling stressed. We all had a cooked breakfast, which was as it goes just OK. The woman behind the till however needs to take a good look at her manners and customer relation skills: I had my 2 young grandchildren with me and when we had finished our food, they wanted to go to the toilet. I approached the till to ask for the toilet code and was ignored even though it was now quieter, there were gaps in customers and the woman knew I was there. When a younger member of staff approached. I asked politely for the toilet code, at which point the women serving, who had been ignoring us called over in a loud voice and said rudely; 'Did I serve you? Then the code is on the back of your meal ticket! If not then the code is**'. I left the counter and went to the toilet with my grand children. When I checked there was nothing on our meal ticket and I know for certain that the woman never mentioned this when we were ordering our meal. After the way she had ignored us, been so rude and belittled me, I felt I needed to mention this to her. So, I summoned my inner courage, went to the desk with the ticket and spoke to the women. Her response was to look at me from under her brow like she was going to pummel me and then to hollow across the cafe at me whilst we walked away. If this woman was the owner or manager then she should be ashamed of herself, if she is an employee then I hope you get a good talking to and possibly some customer...

Passed many times over the years. This time, after a breakdown, I needed a bite to eat and a break. This wasn't a great experience for me. I just wanted to nip in and grab takeaway food and drink, so I could get on my way quickly. But, although they say 'Fast Food', it was far from it. The ready-made sandwiches looked bland, and expensive for what they were. So thought I'd grab a pie and be on my way. But the only option was to have the full pie dinner, in a take-out container, for around £15! Asked if anything was suitable as a quick fix. Then saw toasted sandwiches. I did expect these to come on panini or nice bread. But, after being given a ticket and had to sit and wait a while. This arrived as a very slightly toasted white sliced bread sandwich with little cheese, tiny bit of onion (which cost +£1 for). Coleslaw and salad! Not easy to just eat in my car and head off. Plus cost me over £10.95! Most of it ended up in the bin 😣 It's an odd place and reminds me of cafes back in the 1970s. Maybe appeals to some, but definitely not my kind of place. Doubt I'll ever...

We stopped at this location with our caravan to walk our dogs and get some rest ourselves along route, I asked my husband if he would like some refreshments so I went into the cafe. I needed to use the restroom so I headed to the area of the toilets, there were big blue lit key code pads on the doors. I headed back into the cafe and looked for assistance and that I need to use the bathroom and then buy something refreshments (I had my purse in my hand) only to be told that I must buy something to get the code so I asked did she expect me to purchase any food goods and then bring them to the toilet with me? She said that’s just the way it is, so I asked can I buy the items and leave it in the counter to which she then responded with the code and a sarcastic “go on then”. I never felt so humiliated. I did purchase what we needed and no more but to that staff member, look around you, it’s not the Ritz, it’s a run down truck stop in the middle of nowhere. We...

We visited this cafe and I have to say it a good place to stop. Being located on aain road it is easy to get into and back out of. A wide selection on the menu The food was good. I had a full cooked breakfast and a cup of coffee. I thought it was a good price at about £11. I found the staff to be polite and friendly and sharing a laugh. Coach parties are welcome and there is plenty of parking for cars, coaches and lorries The venue is a roadside diner/cafe with motel. I did not stay in a room so cannot comment or review on that part. The cafe promotes and supports a veterans charity and has many military vehicles on show. Including a tank and jet. Not to for get artillery guns I commend the owners for raising so much funds for such a good cause. Taking donations and having a little sales area as well as arranging trips to Normandy and so on. I recommend stopping here for something to eat. It is honest and value roadside cafe/diner food.

Total hidden gem. I've stopped a couple times as a truck driver and always liked the cafe & facilities but now I've stayed with my family in the Motel chalets, hands down the best price/value stop over IN THE COUNTRY. £65 for a 'Small Chalet' which is a bedroom, large cupboard & toilet/shower. New carpets throughout, super super clean, plenty power sockets & parking next to each chalet. Lovely walk out the back around a fishing lake & the fish will actually come for feeding which our daughter loved (signs say no children but a very kind old gentleman advised we would be OK with our 6 year old as it was a quiet Thursday eve). How this place isn't full every night is beyond belief! It will hopefully go on for a very long time and we will definitely be back again and again.

Drove past this place near on 100 times, but finally decided to stop. This gives off a classic old school truckstop cafe. A large section inside tributes to fallen servicemen which is a wonderful tough. Back to the menu....there is SO much choice whether you are there for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner and the portion sizes are very generous. Lovely tasty food at a very reasonable price. Visited three times now and service has always been spot on! Today's visit was on our way home from a long weekend away and didn't fancy the fast food outlets. Was really pleased to discover they are open till late on a week day!! Perfect omelette this time, delicious - looking forward to our next visit already ☺️
