My son and I had lunch there on Sunday 19th September. My son lives in Fleet and I had travelled up to visit him. We found the Rose & Crown by 'accident', but was so glad we did. The pub itself is small, but very clean and very high standards of decor. It seems to have its regulars who come in for a drink and games of cards. On enteringthe barman was very welcoming. We ordered our drinks and as we had booked we were told we could go straight into the dining room. A good, but not huge Sunday lunch menu. That said often with toomuch choice comes poorer quality. The quality of the food and its cooking was spot on. Very rarerly do you get proper fresh vegetables cooked. These not frozen vegetables. The meat was plentiful and delicious.    Read morePopped in here this evening for a bite to eat, was greeted warmly by the owner Brad and made us feel most welcome. We ordered a round of drinks and sat in the lovely beer garden, then ordered our food I had the ploughman's which was massive!! Other half had ham egg and chips which was another massive plate! Food was delicious and after we had eaten we chatted with a couple of locals who were really friendly. Great pub who are certainly doing their best to make a success of things we wish them...
   Read moreWhat a lovely pub. We popped in for a lunchtime drink when we were staying at Delph Park which is only about a 10-15 minute walk. The owners were so welcoming - even to the extent of offering us their own Tortilla Chips when we asked if they sold Doritos (we'd forgotten to pack ours to go with the chilli).
