It was good food. The price of the buffet was fair for an all you can eat. My order mistaken a few times where by it didn't arrive or they heard your name wrong if it was being put on your tab for the drinks. That was common as it seemed to be the case every time with almost anyone who ordered so wasn't just me.
It would make things more efficient if they just gave you a unique number to hold up rather than have to say your name, which is where it was missheard, for your personal tab. Less mistakes made that way I would feel. I would recommended, especially if a big group of you go so there's more to share around at the same time.
There were a lot of instructions on the front of the menu if you've never been before so that can be made simpler. I ended up just asking someone who's been before on what to do as I was not going to read a whole A5 page just to know how it's expected to work.
Staff were really friendly. I'd go back but watch how much I'd drink as that alone doubled my bill and the drinks menu could have been more on hand as had to ask for one which quickly disappeared with in the...
Read moreWe went to the Beijing palace for lunch buffet on 18th Augs the food was fantastic loads of flavour and looked lovely It was so nice I said I would go back on my Birthday. On my birthday 31st of Augs we went back well it was so different like chalk and cheese it was awful the fried rice was yellow with big lumps of deep yellow bits look and tasted like powdered egg,the fried rice had very large pieces of chicken in it and was very dry well the won tons were floating in oil and looked like paper plaines and what should have been a lovely round shape was flat and that's just a few things believe me,the only thing that was good was the salt and pepper chicken was very nice and that was the only thing that was nice out of all the food for three people in fact it was that bad I asked if they had a new chef and she said yes so that is the answer until they change there so called chef I and my friends will not be going back paying good money for rubbish food I don't know how they can call that man ...
Read moreCalled in when passing as friends had suggested eating there albeit a year since they'd been. Not good at all. I've been working in the restaurant business for 40 years my son is a Head Chef. The interior of Beijing Palace very dated and tired looking it was 32° outside August bank holiday they had 4 air con units on walls but only 1 working and fans on stands which were on but blowing over tables making food cold. Plastic plates dirty cutlery and cloth napkins that were faded and probably hadn't seen an iron for months. Food well I've bought better in the meals for 2 boxes in Sainsbury's to be honest. Asked at 1 point to a waitress for my main as husband nearly finished his and she said Oh! Yeh and walked away, not her fault it's the owners training. Final bill £59 was charged £8 for 3 small glasses of coke with ice 🙄 needless to say we won't be going back. Should have gone Sainsbury's got their boxes of Chinese food and bits it would have been tastier and...
