First time I have visited here for a meal with partner. (2/11/22) Had a gift voucher to use. The actually restaurant looks amazing, very modern but classy and very comfortable, you feel you are out for a special occasion. The restaurant to me, is a special occasion restaurant as it's a little dearer than others. (we usually eat at country village pubs, Welby, barkston, Easton) I have to say I really enjoyed the starter, baked camembert and bread. The steak I thought was excellent and in my top 5 places for steak I've had and I am fussy with my steak. We weren't sure what was in the bone so that was mostly left, found it was pulled beef afterwards but we left it as didn't like the look of it presented in a bone! Our only critique would be less butter/Garlic on the veg and meat we like our veg fresh and clean of fat. What really made our trip was being served by AMY. What a lovely young lady and was actually interested in what we were saying and helping us choose our steak. Amy was an absolute credit to miller and carter. A word for the young man who welcomed us too, very polite and friendly and a cheeky sense of humour I think. Thank you guys you made our night. Only 4*for the food but knocked one off because of over use of oils/fats. We will know to request no fats next time. Will we go back.....most definitely. I value good service and surroundings equally with the food.

Greeting on arrival was a little slow. It took around 3 minutes for someone to greet. The steaks were all cooked well other than the Cote de Boeuf. The steak was not evenly cut so it meant that the outside was a lot thinner than the core. Consequently, the majority of the CtB was actually medium well done, with probably only 25% of the steak being medium rare as requested. That was the only complaint but at £66 and as one of the pricier steaks, it stung a little that it was not fully right. The overall bill came to circa £160 so the CtB was quite a big proportion of the price which is a shame. I will however return, but probably will not order the Cote de Boeuf again but I must praise the 20oz T Bone that I had for myself. It was evenly cut and perfectly cooked. Lettuce wedge dressing was unfortunately watery, not sure what happened there. Stated on booking that there was a birthday. I know that it is always optional whether an establishment does anything but it would have been nice to have had something on the side to make the occasion a little more special.

Glorified Beefeater! Steaks are tasteless and service is poor and how Nicola is employed in customer service is a mystery. Each steak is served with a wedge which is a quarter of a chopped iceberg lettuce drizzled in a sauce. And a deep fried sloppy hashbrown is also served on the plate ? We both had T bone steaks which just lacked any flavour but also didn't come with a good variety of sauces like steak sauce ? Or stilton? Which would have been better served with the steak not on the chunk of lettuce š (Please see picture of the monstrosity) Ordered chunky chips with meal and side order of mash which Nicola forgot about ? She heard it because she apologised in her clear I don't give a hoot what you think way. Wines are way over priced Ā£20 maybe Ā£30 of course for a Ā£6 bottle in Waitrose but not Ā£40!? And they go up from there! Kids meal with steak is laughable smaller than a fish finger! And fish was dry and fishy meaning it was bordering on being off. To call this a steakhouse and a gourmet one at that is a joke! If you like great food don't bother go elsewhere to a decent independent PH. if you don't mind considerably overpaying for what is a Beefeater then this will suit. So tried it during a quiet period on Saturday and won't be going back! Awful!

So it was my 30th birthday this weekend and I ended up going to Miller & Carter 3 times in the last week with different people (10th, 16th and 18th August). Each time I visited, the service has been exemplary, the food has been delicious and everything has been perfect. On my actual birthday itself (18th) there were 16 of us in total and the staff could not have done more to help us, they were so kind and the service was amazing. For all 16 people, the food orders were right and they even managed to cut up the birthday cake into 16 slices at the end of the night. They also brought out a little drink and decoration for me. When I went with my friend on one of these three occasions (16th), the manager at the time saw it was my birthday celebration and he made me and my friend a special birthday drink which I thought was a lovely touch. Miller and Carter is always nice but I would especially recommend it if you have any celebrations. The staff are so friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. No fault whatsoever. 10 out of 10.

Excellent venue, lovely staff. Food was exceptional except for my son whose birthday meal it was. T-bone steak didnāt have a bone! Gristly and unacceptable. The staff took a long time clearing our table after starters, in fact the lady who brought our main 30 mins after we finished starters, had to do an about turn when she saw the table hadnāt been cleared. This delay was massive because my son sent his steak back, and the ovens had been turned off so nothing else could be cooked for him! He accepted two starters instead! We had travelled from near Coventry to spend the evening and following day with him for his birthday, and he was treating us to a top notch meal!! So disappointing for him! The staff realised it was his birthday and āpresentedā a server with Chocolate sauce and strawberries saying āHappy Birthdayā in Chocolate writing to apologise. Couldāve been so much better. Serve people and clear on time and this wouldnāt have happened.

First time visiting and will certainly be returning. A picky eater husband means going anywhere new is a challenge, but we were given a gift card so, to celebrate some good news we thought we'd give here a go. Well it was amazing. Nicola, our server, was friendly, professional and, after explaining that hubby is picky, she answered his questions and made a few recommendations to suit his palette. He said he'd never had steak like it, it was so good, and the beef dripping nicola recommended topped it off nicely he said. I had the calamari and back ribs, and the calamari was beautiful. Ribs a bit fatty but that's a risk with ribs, and they were flavoursome. The banoffee tart was to die for. The caramelised banana is a touch of genius(comes with cream but would have preferred ice cream, but nicola said it could have if I'd have asked, so I will next time). Very much a worth the money restaurant and looking forward to coming again.
