The Royal Queen — Restaurant in South Kesteven

I recently organised a surprise party for a gathering of 35 guests at the Royal Queen. From my first point of contact Sarah ( the landlady) could not have been more accommodating and her communication throughout was excellent, always responding to any queries very promptly. There was no charge for the private use of the room but a stipulation that catering requirements would be done in house at a very reasonable cost. The pubs has a generous car park for guests and a beautiful beer garden, inside was spotless and welcoming and there is a good range of beverages on offer. Sarah and the team allowed me access to decorate the day before the party and offered me the use of an Excellent Bluetooth speaker so I could curate a personal playlist for the day, which was such a nice touch . My husband and I hired out a room at the Royal Queen for a party to celebrate our wedding abroad. From the moment we first enquired to even after the party, the owner was just amazing! Nothing was a problem or too much to ask. We got married in Mexico so thought it would be nice to give the party a Mexican feel and the team at the Royal Queen delivered the most wonderful Mexican buffet, welcome drinks... the owner allowed us to put up whatever decorations we wanted as though the room was ours and gave us a private area outside too. Went in for a Saturday evening gig by a band of which our freinds' daughter is lead singer. Venue is no frills and tired looking. Floor a bit sticky and lots of dogs running around early on but the staff and locals are friendly and helpful. Never tried the food - beer was reportedly good (I was the driver, can't stand fizzy pop and the barman kept me fortified with a decent builders brew all night so nowt to moan about).
