My experience of the talking shop is, it is friendly, welcoming, relaxing , serves great coffee and food, if you need something you have run out of you will usually find it on the shelves , that will certainly be good quality, the eggs are wonderful and always fresh as are the nice tasty cakes and very reasonably priced, I’m not always able to be a very regular volunteer only when I am able to I can be found helping in a small way to do little jobs that need doing on a Friday morning , it gets me out to a place I thoroughly enjoy being for a few hours , I always come home feeling a sense of satisfaction that I have spent that short time doing something worthwhile for the talking shop, I’ve met so many nice and pleasant people to pass that time with, talking shop may you go from strength to strength for...

There is community-run shop and cafe, serving delicious, affordable food--with vegetarian and vegan options available. The shop has a very nice selection of wines, sweets, basic staples, and lovely gifts. There is good wifi, and toys and games in a "play corner" for children. The setting is wonderful, with a garden outside (contributing to the kitchen!) and an amazing-looking playground. It is on the main road through Sandford and offers light lunches, coffee, tea etc and also has a community shop. Manned mainly by volunteers, it is very friendly and welcoming.
