Cafe Lazio at Huntleys — Restaurant in South Ribble

Really disappointing. Ordered 3 coffees, soup, 2 scones and a pancake. Paid on card and received no receipt and was told it would be brought to us. Coffees and soup followed but no sign of scones or pancakes. We eventually asked them where the rest of our order was and told they'd be a minute. And would we like 3 free drinks for the wait? We agreed and then we were told that they had no pancakes would we like a waffle instead and 3 free drinks? We said no to the waffle and drinks and asked for a refund of the food we hadn't received. I was expecting to be reimbursed back onto the card we paid on but cash was brought over and placed on the table. We left in a bad mood after being looking forward to lunch out. Be wary if you go. I cannot believe how far below standard this place has fallen. We stopped here on Sunday for coffee and cakes, and had to wait for over an hour for them, outside in the freezing cold, as had our young Border Collie with us. I had to go in twice to remind them we were waiting outside. There didn't appear to be any senior member of staff on duty, instead there were 3 young people, 2 of them messing around behind the counter, and another who was trying to fulfil everyone's drinks orders. Needless to say, we will NOT be calling back...

There is huge room for improvement with both the food and service. Arrived at 1.15 pm for lunch to be informed they had run out of bread so no sandwiches. The shop had lots of bread in so why could a member of staff not pop over and buy some. They were turning customers away due to not having bread.
