Cute little cafe to sit in with a nice atmosphere and variety of options for different tastes. A little bit disappointed as the 'greek salad' seemed more like one of those ready mixed bistro salad leaf packets (no offence intended, I do like those, they just are not the ingredients for a greek salad) with the addition of olives, onion, cucumber and greek-style cheese. Most strangely, it tasted like they used some kind of french dressing or vinaigrette on it instead of any greek herbs or flavours. It was certainly an enjoyable salad, but not a greek one. We also shared a brie and tomato toastie which was nice enough. The cheese was nice and melty. It was on the expensive side price wise (even as someone accostomed to London pricing) but honestly, I know times are tough on small businesses so I think it's worth supporting nice little cafes like this. Just a couple notes: there's a WiFi password advertised on the tables for customers to use but not clear which WiFi network is the cafés own. I think I figured out it's one of the talktalk ones. Also if you're planning to come, just take note that they're cash only. A nice place overall, for a quick snack, lunch or cuppa. There were even two tables with children and they weren't at all bothersome which was good. Friendly staff. I would come back.

My hubby and I found this great little cafe whilst travelling back from holiday and stopped here for lunch. It was clean and friendly and with a good choice of fresh home-cooked food. We had a panini and a sandwich which were both delicious, and good coffee and tea too :) We were (sadly!) too full for the amazing looking cakes and declined the offer of a cake-away as we still had several hours travelling ahead of us. I have saved to favourites and we will call again next time we’re in the area :)

I stopped in at this vibrant little cafe for a lovely warming lunch. It was clean and fresh, with a bright conservatory to the rear providing additional space. Service was friendly and welcoming. It was great to see some of the locals welcomed in by name, and clearly there are many returning customers. The menu is traditional with a range of delicious cakes. The roll down brown paper menu is a fun way to display the specials. It was great to be able to log into the wifi too!
