So this review is a bit difficult as the evening meal was great but the breakfast was a disaster. So dinner first.... Our server was Victor who was great, the food was hot and tasty and As we had a room booked at the premier in next door we had Purchased a meal deal that included the room the evening meal and breakfast There are some additional costs for the evening meal which is expected and my only negative point would be they currently do not offer a jacket potato as an alternative to chips which would’ve been all of our preferred choices. It was a little annoying that you had to take the shells off the prawns if you had the prawn topper I would’ve thought that would’ve been done before it was bought to your table. That being said the fillet steak was lovely the triple cooked chips were nice and overall we had a lovely evening. I should also say they took social distancing and COVID-19 very seriously. So let’s talk about breakfast… When we walked in we were officially shown to a table without issue and our drinks orders were taken and delivered and then when we placed our order for breakfast that’s where it all started to go a little bit wrong. Only one of the four got delivered what was asked for. Considering it is meant to be a bottomless breakfast the two of us that ordered mushrooms only got one mushroom each and they were small, my wife ordered two fried eggs and only got one, the gluten-free toast was only toasted on one side, one of us didn’t get the baked beans, the hashbrowns was soft and floppy and not crunchy as expected, beefeater does not do sweetener and sugar and yet in the hotel room at the premier in they serve sweetener. When we challenged for the missing food the manager said he was sorry but by the time it arrived we had already eaten what was edible The croissant‘s were raw in the middle On the Positive side the bacon was nice as was the sausage and black pudding. It’s such a shame they could not mirror the service and quality of food from the evening meal the night before. As we had bought a meal deal we couldn’t even challenge paying for the breakfast. Perhaps we just caught them at a bad time but considering the restaurant was fairly empty I’m just not sure what the route of this poor service was.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to give zero stars so reluctantly giving 1 star. We came in and physically booked a table for 14 people 3 weeks ago for a family 18th birthday meal. Later that day, we received a phone call confirming our booking for tonight for 11 people. Again, we had to specify it was for 14 people and on 11th March. Here we are on the 11th, turn up at around 620pm to be told our table won't be ready for a few minutes. Finally managed to sit down at around 710pm. Take our orders, relatively quickly at 720pm. However, try to order certain things to which we then get told "we don't have that" on multiple orders. They come out at around 745pm. Mains eventually followed at about 840pm. 5 of the mains came out missing sides like coleslaw to then be told they don't have any. My "medium" steak came out still mooing. I'm pretty sure if I'd of asked for it blue they would've just sent me a calf fresh from the farm over the road. They then said they'd cook another steak for me and as she handed the plate over I knew I didn't need to cut into it to see its nowhere near medium. It may have been shown a flame from behind a window but that's about as close to heat as it got! We finally got to order the kids desserts at around 915pm and again as one tried to order key lime pie we were told they don't have it. They eventually served the sundaes at around 945pm. By this time we realised our 3hours parking had expired so we fully expect to be receiving multiple fines for our cars. So all in all this was the most disastrous and appalling experience I have ever had from a restaurant. Completely ruined what should have been a celebration. And not what you need when you have a couple of young children with additional needs getting extremely restless and tired. The only positive to come out of this was the fantastic lady, Kay, who was dealing with us. I feel sorry for her having to put up with all the complaints but she was fantastic and deserves a raise and promotion! Perhaps she can have the managers job since the manager on shift had already buggered off!

Lovely stay in premier inn, lovely mill building setting for beefeater but needs a change of management. Fawlty towers meets monkeys tea party (without enough tea). Stood and told to wait alongside a very old couple who should have been seated immediately for a period of 10mins while being shifted around by the manager as we were 'in the way'. Eventually pointed out a table we could sit on and waited another 10 minutes for it to be cleaned. No spoons (eat cereal with a fork), no bread (waited until the end of breakfast for it to appear), no cooked breakfast still by 10.30am. Spilt cereal and milk on stairs not cleared up and when shift manager was told he replied 'we are too busy', offered to clear it up myself after it was still uncleared before older gentleman slipped on it. The poor girl running around doing 90% of the serving apologised and the manager absent. Mountain of bowls and uncleaned tables. No pastries, son only wanted a croissant for breakfast. Tiny cooked breakfast arrived at 10.35am pic attached (did have 2 uncooked sausages and a spoonful (fork full) of beans more, given more beans and tomatoes as out of bacon, hash browns, eggs, mushrooms, croissants, yoghurt, coffee machine broken, no gluten free bread, no bowls for cereal and manager takes zero accountability. Sorry to say there are rats in car park near beefeater bins - Lovely building though!

Unfortunately not very good! We queued for quite a long time to place our food order at the bar with only one bartender on. The place was not busy with many tables available and with service this poor you can see why. Captive audience with us staying at the Premier Inn next door. Limited menu choice of four mains despite promoting a comprehensive menu. Bartender made many errors taking the order and left halfway through to take a pot of tea to a table before coming back to complete my order. Despite slow service the food did arrive promptly but the quality was quite poor. Waiter forgot cutlery and we had to wait about 5 minutes with our food going cold. Pointed out that they had got the order wrong and asked for the replacement side dish of peas to be brought. This finally arrived about half an hour by which time we had given up waiting and ate what we could of our meal. When the waitress brought the peas out she asked if we wanted to still eat them! Politely explained that the service and quality of the meal was inadequate, which she apologised for and said she would get the manager. I asked for my child's accompanying ice cream but after waiting another 30mins whilst my child played on the outdoor climbing frame, we gave up and walked out. At no time during service were we asked about our food. No manager returned to discuss the incorrect food order and the problems were to slow in being rectified. I ordered BBQ chicken which was tough from the grill with charcoaled bacon and a warm side salad in a bowl that had gone limp. The salad was not fresh and cold, the lettuce had gone off and become watery at the bottom of the bowl. The coleslaw was not creamy and had dried up having turned a rather unsatisfactory colour. Not very appetising. The two fish and chips were OK but difference in quantity was evident between both with one being a much larger portion than the other. The ice cream, peas and manager never came. Clearly given up hope and didn't want to be served melted ice cream. We will see what breakfast brings as we have booked for that experience too with us staying across the road, but I won't be expecting much. Certainly no point in complaining as no one appears to care about service. Meal was expensive for what it was when you consider the poor quality of the product which is absurd at £13 per...

The worst beefeater I have ever been too. Ever! Saturday night and it was quiet, having worked in hospitality as a manger for 7 years, I was absolutely gobsmacked that the manager on shift was a manager. Her name was Kay. We got to the desk where they seat you and she was slating a member of staff to the couple infront of us, who clearly felt extremely awkward. I can now see why they’re understaffed and have job advertisements over the restaurant. When it was our turn to be seated, we got told they were fully booked, then we we said we were at the hotel she said that was fine but was turning away a lot of other customers. The she told us we have to go to the bar for a meal deal, shoved some menus in our faces, off we went. Bar staff were genuinely really helpful. Back to the premier inn we went. After speaking to the lady at reception we explained we never wanted the meal deal so off we went back to the restaurant. At this point we were frustrated as we had a really really long and busy day and just wanted some food. We told the bar staff we wanted the evening set menu, they said that was fine, got back to the seating desk. After waiting 15 minutes to be seated again, Kay got us out the set evening menu. We got seated, I was gobsmacked at how quiet it was to say people were getting turned away for being fully booked. I think they were just extremely short on staff so that’s what they were saying. We waited a good 25 minutes for our server to come over, who was lovely. But she said we couldn’t have the evening set menu as it’s only Monday to Friday. We explained we’ve been told by the bar staff and your manager we can. She went to get the manager who came over moaning about how her shifts are everywhere so she’s losing track of days, to which we replied that’s not our fault, we want this menu as you’ve said we can have it. We did get it but the whole atmosphere, service from the manager and rudeness was shocking. The bar team and our server were lovely but how on earth she has a job in hospitality I’ll never know. Safe to say tonight, we’re going to...
