We took the train from Watford Jcn. and stopped off at Bricket Wood. We knew there was a tea room at the station, so before we set off walking to St Albans, we popped in. The station refreshment room has been renovated in the style of the London and North Western Railway from around the 1900s I guess. Very attractive and cosy it is too. All of the cakes and treats are homemade by the very friendly and welcome lady owner. (All her baking she does on Monday & Tuesdays when the tea room is closed). I had a slab of ginger cake £3 whilst my partner had a chocolate brownie. Generous in size, they were delicious. To sum up, well worth a visit I would say.

The Tea Room is a must visit.. Lovely village location and set in the beautifully restored old Bricket Wood Station. Extremely friendly staff and great service. I highly recommend the mozzarella and Pesto Panini 😋 Superb Latte, loads better than Starbucks..

Beautifully run little tea room, by three wonderful ladies, owner, Cheryl - who has done an amazing job setting up this little gem 💎 - senior barista, Rachel, and a fab young barista, Katie. ☕️🫶🏼

Love this place and such an asset for our village to have a second cafe/tea rooms, thanks to the hard work of the Station Trust getting the building restored and refurb'd for community use. It's a nice spot for a cuppa after a walk around Bricket Wood Common/Munden Estate or as a stop-off on the Abbey Line rail service, when it's running. Lovely home-made baked goodies and sandwiches to choose from too. Even better: fantastic quality locally roasted coffee (a million percent better than the local Starbucks) and has lots of sunshine on a bright day. Lady who runs it is always so lovely, welcoming and friendly. Do note limited opening times/check before you visit. I think a wheelchair could access okay but will double-check and update. The parking surface on approach is quite uneven so could be tricky for the elderly/people who use...

What a great find! Travelling between Bristol and Breckland today, we wanted to find a locally owned café serving proper coffee and lunch rather than the over-priced tasteless generic mush of motorway corporate flytraps, or the "plate of grease and bowl of crap" that is Watford Gap's enduring testimony. The Tea Room is an oasis of friendly service, real coffee, home-baked cakes—and a trip back in time, almost to Adlestrop. It was late June after all... Highly recommended! I hope this little place can sustain itself. We will...
