My Dessert Palace & Pizzas — Restaurant in Stafford

Tonight my sister and I put in an online order for delivery at 6:30. We were advised for a 50 minute wait which we were happy with. 8:15 and still no delivery.

I then drove to the little desert shop on Pirehill Lane and asked about my order. They had the order on the system but said that it had only just come through due to WiFi troubles, yet I had an email confirmation and online updates being sent throughout the evening. Staff were very unapologetic at this point.

They then told us that they would make the order while we waited, and that it would be 15 minutes.

We heard staff in the back room loudly complaining about making the order, and the staff making incorrect orders (a chocolate orange waffle instead of a chocolate orange cookie dough).

20 minutes later another member of staff comes out and says that we won’t be getting our order because they didn’t have the ingredients to make it as the food shop was not delivered.

We know this is definitely not true as we watched the staff serve other customers before us with similar orders and do not appreciate being lied to.

We were then compensated with a box of coconut cake and a small pot of cold custard. Furthermore, we were not asked about allergens, and my sister is severely allergic to coconut.

As you can imagine, this has angered and upset us greatly. It is now nearly 9pm and we have now got to find an alternative quickly as it is past my younger sisters bedtime and she still has not eaten.

Not sure what’s happened because this place used to be really good - we ordered recently and waited over an hour for 2 milkshakes, a cookie dough and a school dessert. When it arrived the milkshakes were both wrong, one was supposed to be Oreo and tasted like peanut butter (good job we don’t have an allergy!). The cookie dough was missing ice cream, and the school dessert was completely different to what it has been previously. I called the takeaway to let them know and they said they had changed the school dessert (but hadn’t updated it on the website?) and then said we will sort it for you, but seemed in a rush to get us off the phone. Hours went by and nothing, we never got a replacement, and we never heard back from them. First time ordering from here and sadly the wedges tasted funky and we spat them out, tasted out of date possibly, the pizza was hot and seemed promising and was overall ok but it was very salty and couldn't eat all of it, the dough on the pizza was also quite tough so I wouldn't be suprised if it was left out for awhile, we ordered a brownie and a coconut cake, the brownie was incredibly sweet and I love brownies usually but it was way to sweet. The coconut cake was heavy and didn't taste fresh, tasted shop brought and it was edible but nothing to special, you can get a coconut cake double the size much nicer and lighter not far from this place at m&s, custard came in a measly tiny pot with not enough for £1.49 which is way too expensive, purchase your own custard from the shop it will be much cheaper and you will...
