The team has done a marvellous job and hat off to the chef. I can tell the food was aimed to be done to perfection. Even down to the tartare sauce! Unfortunately my pouched cod was too salty but every, I mean Everything was fantastic!!! Emily was a very good staff, friendly and genuinely want the best for the business! Will definitely be back in no time!

This place used to be a solid 8 / 10 for food . Not sure what’s happened but there has been a drop off with the food . Last visit just managed 6.5/10 Was a real hit with friends & family but last visit was a real let down from the standards previously set . Can only hope it was a blip . I’ll keep an eye out for others thoughts in the near future.

Wednesday Thai Night....Amazing....Food was absolutely beautiful, the best Thai meal we've had in a very long time. Glass of fizz on arrival was a nice touch. The music was spot on. Staff were fab. Top notch night felt like it was a Friday!......if only! Thank you so much

Absolutely shocking experience. I understand that reviews are not normally this in depth but my lord is our experience worth it. Booked for our 12th wedding anniversary and thought we’d book somewhere nice to celebrate. We’d been there twice before for Pie Night and the service and food was excellent. But tonight, we turned up, and even though the restaurant was not what you would call busy due to the unexpected Indian summer, we were stood waiting to be seated for about 5 minutes which granted isn’t the end of the world. Once we were at our table, we placed our 18 month old son in a restaurant provided high chair and within 5 minutes it literally fell apart. And this is no exaggeration, the leg and retaining bar came apart. How our son didn’t end up on the floor is a miracle. And considering he has a major heart defect, this could have ended up a lot worse than it did. Not being one to usually complain, I informed management who replaced the high chair with not even a whiff of an apology. Some people would have really gone to town and taken photos and reported it to the local press but because we are not the moaning type we just sat there and accepted it, And that’s where our experience really took a turn for the worse.Bearing in mind we had been sat at our table for 15 minutes with 1 round of drinks ordered, an elderly couple entered the restaurant who were swiftly shown to there seats and offered the full works. The seat that they were originally shown to was in the direct sunlight (as was ours) and they were swiftly moved to another more convenient table in the shade, whilst we sat in the corner, seemingly forgotten about. This couples Drinks were served immediately and within 5 minutes their food was served. (It turns out that this older couple was Don Bur so it seems that money really does talk in this restaurant.) Whilst we sat there waiting for some kind of service, Mr Bur sat and enjoyed his drinks and Meal, with the older waitress repeatedly going to their table asking if they wanted any more drinks and if everything was to their liking. All the while we were left sat in the corner waiting for some kind of service. My 10 year old daughter tried to attract the waitresses attention to try and get some drinks and (I was witness to this) she simply looked at my daughter with the biggest scowl I’ve ever seen before she wheeled away and returned to Mr Bur. Just as I was about to go to the bar to try and order some drinks as we had been left parched due to it being so warm, a group of golfers arrived at the bar and were swiftly served their drinks, all whilst we sat there waiting patiently. 45 minutes since we arrived, with 1 set of empty glasses on our table and no sign of any kind of service, I convinced my wife and daughter to leave the restaurant, whilst I went to the bar to clear the bill. Having explained our concerns, from the lack of service, to the faulty high chair, the waiter still had the audacity to request payment for drinks. Luckily the manager stepped in and waived the bill, but be warned, unless you are one of those people that thinks that they have more money than they really have, pretending to be something that you are not, or are unfortunate enough to turn up on a night where Mr Don Bur (Corleone) is in residence then I would avoid this restaurant at all costs. The type of place where money speaks louder than service. And before people judge, I have left many, if not all good reviews on people’s businesses as I am a strong believer in giving credit where it is due, but this restaurant is only interested in one type of clientele and it is abundantly clear that they value money...

Arrived for our meal and were shown promptly to our seats, thats where the good points end. Waited and waited for someone to come over, staff wedre passing our table and totally oblivious to the fact e were waiting. Gave in after nearly twenty minutes and went and asked for service. A young lad came and took our drinks order, but had to go and find out what beer was on draught. Then had to ask for a menu. Then the server had to go get a pen. Waited for the starter which were crab cakes and just short of being done to death. They were ok. Mains were finally bought to the table and were totally devoid of any heat, then had to ask for cutlery. The servers average age was about sixteen and although I am not knocking there willingness, they were totally inexperienced. I had the coconut pannacotta which was the weirdest thing ever, coconut flavoured gel. Thought we would give this place a go as living local, but sorry we wont be returning. Not even a thank you from the person on the door...

Yesterday my friend and I called in for a coffee unknowingly there was a funeral wake to follow. We sat at a table for 2 people and were chatting. As people arrived a woman (not staff) came over and asked if we were at the funeral of which we replied no. She told us the table was for the wake. There was no reserved table notice and she was very rude and belittling. Going forward could you make sure that you put notices to ensure this does not happen again. We were forced to leave. Very poor experience

However we did move on to the Stafford Arms, Bagnall that also had a funeral ongoing and were very welcoming on our visit. They bought our coffee to our table.. Well...
