For over 12 months we have visited here on a very regular basis but we shall now not be returning again, it seems unless you are a "shareholder" or family member of the bar staff you are made to feel very intimidated and uncomfortable, this place is now very "clique" and unless you are in the circles you feel like everytime you go to the bar you should leave and its too much trouble for them to serve you, You also feel watched all the time and its gotten so bad you're afraid to relax, Such a shame as the first few weeks this place opened it looked so promising as we live so close but sadly its time to call it a Day for all us, Rules for one and not others so it seems including the rules on Children which should not be allowed in the Bar area but obviously certain customers children are allowed until all hours of the night.. My Sons and Grandsons and their friends plus other family members stopped going in months ago for pretty much the same reasons saying the place was too clique and they always felt uncomfortable we also know a few friends that use this pub say the same.. Such a shame.but we hope for the community it carries on to...
Read moreWe have visited over a dozen times... it is our local. It is a nice pub with a good pint. The only problem is that there are too many children who run around the pub. . All around through one door out the next in circles. It isn't a one off... it's every visit we have had. We have children of our own and have no problem with kids... but when they constantly running around it isn't the relaxing quiet hour or two we want when we visit the pub. Although there are signs up stating well behaved children welcome until 7pm..... this is clearly ignored as they do run around the pub... It's a shame as if this was better managed we would come in now often. Also people sit at the bar in the bar area and you can't access the bar to get a pint... fair enough but have people sit to one side so the bar can be accessed without feeling intimidated. I appreciate it's a family pub... but kid's won't bring the revenues in... so it's a fine line to manage well.... Generally people dont want kids running around in a pub. Hope this is taken constructively as this is how this...
Read moreBeautiful country style pub large outdoor area and that's the only reason I gave it a 3, visited a few times and the atmosphere is rubbish, bit clickey and I hate that in pubs, when you walk in the first room every single person who is sitting down stares at you as you approach the bar which makes you feel really uncomfortable, I'd recommend having a drink at home first if you want to have any kind of night can honestly say I've never been during the day for something to eat, maybe it's completely different, they don't have a massive selection of drinks either, and they don't do cocktails 👎 it's 2021 guys stick a...
