We haven't visited for a while so popped in for Sunday dinner. It is my sons favourite so a treat for him. The staff as always were lovely. However my beef was extremely grisly meaning I had to leave half of it. To be honest there was lots so I didn't bother to complain. The yorkshire was huge and gorgeous. Roastie a little dry they had obviously been sat for a while. There were no options for my OT who doesn't eat meat or dairy ( there is usually a lovely mushroom pie) and no milk alternative for coffees which they advertise as having. This is a shame as it was a good place with choices for us all but not this time. The mini puddings have also been taken from the menu which is another shame. Because of the lack of variety it may mean we have to look elsewhere which would be a shame as we have been visiting for years. 😪

What a way to ruin festive build up for 6 children! Despite our family been booked in for over a month to have breakfast with Santa. We have now had added expense taking all the children else where for a santa experience at last minute… We arrived to a very poor showing on the breakfast counter. No where near enough food for the kids let alone the full part of 11.. The website offered slots up-to 11am considering we booked a month in advance there should have been ample food avail to cater for those attending especially when the place was very quiet compared to previous visits. The wet lettuce of a manager offered to refund the adults meals which was something but his responses to our frustrations were more than laughable when face with our three parties and a couple of others who joined in our disappointment.

The staff was friendly & asked if everything was OK, but my partner just wanted to leave as this had happened before. The answer we got back was that we tried our best. A hard day at work so on didn't want to cook so we thought we would come back. Wish we didn't ,i had the vegetarian pie taste of nothing & been sitting for a week. Hardly any veg was fresh , & Mash potato was like baby food Yorkshire pudding was cold. You should come out feeling full , not thinking what else can I have to eat. Overall we thought what a waste of money.

Myself and my family have been coming here for a while, always a solid go too... So we chose here for our boxing day meal.

Firstly, I'd like to recognise the fact that it's a busy period of time and that we hadn't pre ordered, and I am not oblivious to it, however the basics needed to have been covered ...

We sat down, and gave a drinks order. Myself and my partner arrived a little later and so everyone's order was there, and then we gave our order. My partner received a 'refill' option, when asked for lemonade and my drink wasn't served for 15minuites. I asked where my drink was and if I could have it please, and waited a further 10minuites for it. I got my drink, ok they're busy no problem.

We sat and staff were flying round, and nobody came to take out order. We managed to grab somebody's attention and order our starters. 5 out of 6 people ordered the smoked salmon and prawn starter with 1 ordering soup. The waitress came back shortly after informing us that they didn't have smoked salmon and prawns for a starter available anymore. And so everyone switched to the pate starter, and one switched to the soup starter.

Starter was served, the waitress was apologetic and everyone was ok, it isn't her fault. However the pate starter was missing chutney on everybody's plates, so we mentioned this and also mentioned that one person didn't have cutlery and one was missing a knife. She went and checked only to tell us that they didn't have any left and only gave one person a knife. During her checking this, everyone realised that there was a chunk pate, but not enough bread and so they asked for just one piece of bread extra, so four slices of bread. She checked again and came back to tell us that we were not able to have extra bread.... Everybody is getting a little upset at this point, as nothing is quite right. But we continue...

Everyone finishes the starters, and the plates are piled up at the end of the table, nobody came to get them and all staff continued to walk past them. So we grabbed somebody again, so that we could order our mains and remove the plates. We ordered our mains and everyone chose a carvery, with one person choosing a veggie option. The waitress said that the veggie option would need to be collected from the deck, and that she'd keep checking and let us know when it would be ready.

She didn't... Infact she didn't even put the order through. After waiting and watching everyone make their way through the meals, I went and checked where my veggie option was, with the chefs at the 'deck'. They had no idea what this was about and were very apologetic, however cooked it immediately and it was ready within 5 minutes. It was delicious. As I was walking back to the table with my food though, I walked in-between some staff, who were arguing about tips, openly Infront of Customers.

I stud up mid meal, to take a photo of everyone and a waitress kindly offered to take a photo, which was nice!

We again, by the end of the meal had to grab someone to order deserts and that was us done.

Even though the food was of good taste, I am appalled and disgusted at the level of service, we as a family have received from such a large company like yourselves.

If you would like to contact me, I will be...

sat 17th Aug my partner and I visited toby carvery endon. we had tried to book.a table I'm line but it stated there was no tables for 2 that night. we decided we would go anyway. on arrival we were met by as gentleman from behind the bar I explained I'd tried booking on line only to have to repeat myself. he replied he'd go look into that straight away. he never returned. the waitress came to take our order and explained there was only Gammon and pork left. we were ok with that . our drinks were brought to the table and we went up to get our food. the waitress called the chef who showed his face and said can you wait 5 minutes . we said that's fine. when he came there was only small piece of pork left not 2 meats as we were told. we agreed to having it. the plates were cold the Yorkshire pudding hard and cold. the roast potatoes were rock hard and burnt. black in fact.tge veg was cold restless and the green beans were very stringie.i decided to go to the toilet before we went for our food only to find a nasty smell I looked in the door there was an unflshed toilet and blood stains visible in the seat. I was horrified . I went and found the waitress and informed her. she replied I'll get him behind the bar to go and do it. she told him very loudly to go sort it out. he refused the waitress said you'd better go and do it or you k ow the consequences. I saw him with a mop and bucket and assumed he'd cleaned the toilet. while trying to eat my meal I started to feel unwell and went to the toilet and was sick. I also noticed a cleaning sign was put in the doorway to the dirty toilet the door pulled slightly to put it had not been cleaned. I went get my partner and said we are leaving I was so disgusted. on returning home we both felt unwell. bit h myself had bad stomachs turning the night. Sunday we were both really unwell all day and really spoilt our weekend. I rang Monday to complain only to be greated by the end we phone where I left a message saying I needed to speak to the manager with my name and phone no. as off today tues 4.30 pm I've not 're euced a reply to my phone call. I've looked on reviews and ice seen in TripAdvisor there ha been more cases if people been I'll after eating there. but I'm also concerned hygiene wise about blood in ladies toilets that is really disgusting. the food disgusting very unhelpful staff. I'm afraid I'm not leaving this matter here we were both very I'll our weekend ruined....

We have been here several times and much prefer it. From start to finish the experience is great and we have always been welcomed and helped. My son has additional needs and is in a wheelchair and although it is a tight squeeze with his medical bags staff are always happy to help and guide us and we are always welcomed with open arms unlike other places we have been. We just left there today and had great service from Ann and Harry. My apologies that I couldn't thank you in person but my son had a medical emergency and we had to rush off. Please dont think of us as being rude. I hope the tip I left helped to know you were appreciated it would have been more had I have had time to go digging through for my purse The food here is much better than the many other carveries we have been to and the atmosphere is pleasant and also pretty quiet each time we have been which helps us.

Thank you for today and the many other visits. Please pass on my regards to Ann and Harry Katie

Also as a side note. The disabled toilet is quite small. There was not enough room for me to transfer and sort my son out so had to hold and carry him and push his wheelchair back outside the toilet and to push it far enough back we could close the door we had to leave it blocking the men's toilets. Then had to lay him on the floor .. thankfully i had a small changing mat with me. Although my sons wheelchair is not a standard wheelchair so may fit normal ones more easily. This is the first time we have had to use the disabled toilet since we have been going there.

Although I recognise that due to the layout and build of the building nothing much can be done about this I also worry that had somebody needed to get into the mens toilet we would have ended up blocked in when the chair was pushed forward 😬. My son is 7 and his wheelchair can not be pushed by himself and he can not transfer himself to or use a toilet . Space for a carer is very limited inside but we...
