Myself together with my Son, Daughter-in-law, Grandson and his Girlfriend went to dinner here on recommendation.
On arrival we were all very impressed with the layout, decor and ambience. The staff were very polite, extremely welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We welcomed and shown to our table. The tables are laid out quite far apart allowing for a feeling of privacy which was really nice.
Their knowledge on dietry requirements is excellent and both the food menu and drinks offered excellent Gluten Free options. I have Coeliac Disease and the drinks on offer are great. I had a Purity Pure Helles tap lager with lemonade as a shandy, which was really light and tasted fab. As well as being Gluten Free it is also Vegan.
For food I chose the Braised shoulder of lamb, minted new potatoes, seasonal vegetables and rosemary gravy. My Grandson's Girlfriend also had this. It was beautifully cooked, there was loads of meat on the bone, which just fell apart. It was tender and delicious. It was served with plenty of fresh vegetables and new potatoes. The Rosemary gravy was yummy.
My Daughter-in-law had the Caramelised pork belly, ham knuckle fritter, apple purée, calvados and summer greens. She thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly, which was cooked to perfection and the vegetables, but was very disappointed that there were no new potatoes to accompany the dish, so was left not fully satisfied.
My Son and Grandson both chose the Steak burger, beer onions, grilled pancetta, Monterey Jack, spiced tomato mayonnaise, fries. In comparison with the other dishes the portion size was extremely small. The small portion of fries was average at best. They were very basic small chips, when lovely chunky, home cooked chips would have been much better, together with a much larger portion. Whilst very tasty, the burger was again somewhat small in size. Beer battered onion rings would have been excellent to accompany this dish. They were both very underwhelmed with this dish.
After dinner I had a Latte which came with a couple of small pieces of Gluten Free flapjack which was very tasty. This was...

Location ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A little drive out of Banbury Town centre but easy enough to find and very close to the Herb Centre. The views across the local area are beautiful if you're lucky enough to get a window seat.
Interior ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Everything just hits with country pub whilst being super clean and somehow also modern. Very tasteful, and the chair I had made me feel like a king on a throne 🤴
Exterior ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The views 😍
Service ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ We were seated quickly and the service was quick but not rushed. The waitress didn't bother us too much with checking in but somehow seemed to be there whenever we needed anything.
Food ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ So we had the Chicken Gyoza to start which were okay. First time I had them to be honest and I just didn't rate them. But then the burger came, I got the steak burger with added pulled BBQ Beef. When it arrived you just knew it was going to be good, the crispy pancetta and oozy cheese. I swapped fries for chips because chips beat fries and these were solid chips! Crispy outsides and fluffy insides. Han had the chicken burger and said the batter was a bit salty but I loved the little bit I stole, the homemade coleslaw also really Indulgent.
Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Not the cheapest place in the area but also not that expensive. £25 per head for starter and mains we had but i could see steaks were a bit pricey. Guess it depends what you have.
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(⭐️) Has to be a 4.5 on this one, I had high expectations and it delivered. Gorgeous food, beautiful surroundings and a fair price. I...
Read moreThe Falcon at Warmington was a quaint country pub just south of Gaydon. It's vintage building combined with modern and suttle styling such as the signage on the outside gave it a welcoming feel when arriving.
Inside, a cosy and lively atmosphere was in full swing. A little firepit in the middle of the bar and an extensive bar was the norm. As per all Brunning and Price pubs, the furniture was quirky but comfortable. Service from the team was excellent with all team members being warm and friendly throughout. I was shown to a table promptly. The location was clean and tidy.
I had the following today:
Starter - Chicken gyoza, tamari, sesame and ginger dressing This was just gorgeous. Lightly battered on the outside and well filled on the inside. Rich in flavour. The dressing was nice and sweet. Resembles Wagamama quite closely.
Main - Steak burger, beer onions, grilled pancetta, Monterey Jack, spiced tomato mayonnaise, fries When this came out, you could just tell the burger was going to taste great. The cheese oozing off on the side and that bacon cooked well through. The burger itself was so succulent and juicy. The chips were well salted and a good colour. Definitely one of my favourites.
Dessert - Chocolate and cherry tart with Raspberry Ripple ice cream I do love my tarts and this one is vegan. Straight to the point. Rich taste. Melts in your mouth. Creamy ice cream. Perfect!
I would recommend and visit this restaurant again. 10/10 really no issues at all...
