After visiting another local with the food, the coffee and the service, being so disappointing that I left it without finishing, but needing a decent coffee I popped in here to see what they could offer. Finally, a decent coffee, lovely young girl at the counter, and the premises at a nice welcoming temperature. Yes the place was quiet but having just opened its doors that’s not surprising. This is a bit of a hidden gem and as I need a place once a week to kill time in for the next few months, I believe I have found my place!

Had another pleasant experience here at the Berkeley Tea Rooms. When I arrived the courtyard was full of other cyclists! After queuing for a short while I was soon sat down outside with a coffee and two pieces (couldn't choose between biscoff and kinder so had both) of brownie! All of it was delicious! To add to the great cakes the staff were really welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend paying this place a visit!

Quiet and calm as I sit here on Monday afternoon. Its beautifully decorated and carefully laid out. Clean, orderly and yet relaxed. I'm just here for a hot drink and there's a good selection. I ordered at the counter and a pristine cup of latte swiftly arrived. Decently priced too. Lovely place.

Extremely rude and poor service. Stopped taking food orders halfway through our party, with the manager making a young child give the bad news to those who couldn't eat, not speaking to us directly. Accused the entire room of 5 parties of deliberately confusing things by giving incorrect table numbers, something I know my party did not do, and told us all we were lucky we hadn't been kicked out. At least two tables got up and left, shocked at the treatment and in one case after waiting 20 minutes in vain for a cup of tea.

The only redeeming part of the experience is that when I saw the food of those who had been allowed to order, I felt myself one of the lucky ones. Horrible sausages and egg cooked til...

Magical Tea Rooms, that just enhanced my experience whilst in Berkeley, Glos.

Their Selection of Tea and Cakes are plentiful, and when you start eating anything from the Menu or Specials board, you loose track of time whilst you enjoy the amazing melt-in-the-mouth cakes and sandwiches.

I will purposely make a detour to Berkeley again next month, just for Lunch at Gloucestershires 'Hidden Gem'.

Highly Recommended and the Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about...
