Visited this morning as need to find a place to kill time on Friday mornings for the next couple of months, this is not the place. I went in very cheerfully with a “Hi, how are you today” to be met with, yes I’m Ok! No smile, no eye contact, no reciprocal greeting. There was no menu to look at by the till so had to read the upside down one they had for their reference. I ordered a full English, I asked if that came with mushrooms? “No”….oh, ok. May I have a latte too please but can I have it at the same time as the breakfast. Reply was “ok” I paid and sat down. Room was chilly, customers on the next table were rubbing their arms to warm themselves. Coffee arrived, was the weakest thinnest latte I’ve had in a long time, totally not what a latte should be. Food arrived in less than 2 minutes, I commented “wow that was quick” to be met with “Well, it’s the easiest thing on the menu” Nothing further, no enjoy your food etc… however clearly it’s not the easiest thing on the menu as it was totally disappointing. Egg was undercooked and still had clear egg white on the surface, bacon was really salty, toast was so cold the butter was sat on the top not melting, but the worst thing was the sausage which I’m convinced had been precooked and rewarmed, possibly in the microwave as it was really chewy, tough to cut and beyond scalding hot. I would usually send the food back and notify the staff but the place was busy but still small enough and quiet enough that everyone would listen, which for someone who suffers anxiety would be torture and if the service was so bad when on their good side and first ordering I can’t imagine they would take a return of food well? I truly wanted to like this place as it looked inviting from the outside but at £11:50 for a coffee, a small poorly cooked English breakfast and zero customer service I’d rather spend my hard earned money elsewhere. Such a shame.

Called in for lunch on an impulse as Perfect Blend looked so welcoming. So glad we did! Welcoming and efficient service, very comfy ambience, super pristine clean and the best sandwiches and home made Victoria sponge ever. Try the BLT and the chicken and avocado. Excellent value for money too. Great selection of greetings cards. Only improvement would be better quality napkins. Cannot recommend too highly. We'll find a...
