Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Stroud

Getting fed up of costa now. Prices are just ridiculous and have had several cases of bad mannered staff ruining the experience. Went through this particular drive through the other day and ordered two cappuccinos with oat milk - something like £6.80 which just feels criminal. Woman who gave them to us just shoved them our way but before we drove off I checked and there was no chocolate on top... nearly £7 and don't even offer us some basic sprinkles?!

Anyway, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and assumed she may have just forgotten so I politely asked for some chocolate on top and she looked so sulky that I dared require her to bother with us for a moment longer (it's literally your job?!). She then looks around briefly and tells us she doesn't even have chocolate. Costa, you charged us almost £7 for some milk, water and beans and you don't even keep your sprinkles in stock? Not good enough. She said best she can offer is cinnamon to which we accept with some disappointment - though still, may I add, maintaining politeness. She clearly thought we'd just decline and move on so was just rude and disgruntled at having to take our coffees back and she then put on the most meagre sprinkle I have ever seen - we reckon out of spite.

Why is it so hard to train your employees to be polite? If this was a one off I wouldn't be so angry but it's sadly not.

Will be boycotting for the foreseeable future. Such a shame because there are some genuinely lovely workers there, but too many bad apples are...

Terrible service from one member of staff. Received a cold "Hot chocolate" through the drive through. Was asked if I wanted cream on top of my daughters kitkat iced coffee through the drivethrough telecom. To which I replied yes please. Received through the hatch with nothing on top so I asked If it came with the cream? She then said it doesn't come with any. We parked and went inside to resolve instead of holding up the queue of cars. Had to queue ourselves inside for a further 10 minutes only for the same member of staff to be quite rude to me. I explained what I'd ordered and pointed to picture with what appears to be squirty cream, sprinkles and a chocolate bunny on top of the KitKat iced chocolate drink. She said it wasn't cream. I said can I have whatever that is on the picture as this is what my daughter wanted. She begrudgingly added the cream and sprinkles and gave it back to me. So I asked about the chocolate bunny and she then said she'd already given me one through the drive through hatch. She definitely didn't and she continued to argue that she did which is absolutely ridiculous and very rude. Finally received what I'd ordered after being there for about 25 minutes. Needless to say I didn't even bother mentioning the cold...
